Shocking! So THAT'S where the Blazers' money is going! Here's the entire article. Memphis Grizzlies forward Darius Miles, who was suspended last season for violating the NBA's anti-drug program, was free on bond Thursday after being charged with possession of mar1juana. The 27-year-old Miles was alone in his car in suburban Fairview Heights, Ill., Wednesday night when an officer pulled him over for allegedly failing to use a turn signal, police Sgt. Steve Evans said. During a search of the car, Evans said police found a small amount of mar1juana in a plastic bag in the passenger compartment. Miles was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and charged with misdemeanor mar1juana possession because the amount of the drug was less than 2.5 grams, which would have been a felony. He was later freed on $100 bond.
Just when he had everything going for him in Portland in his early years, now he's imploded on himself. He even had a movie... The Perfect Score.. the good days for Darius Miles are over.
anything over 2.5 grams of weed is a felony in Ill.?!?!!??!!!?!?!??! Jesus Christ, someone needs to get their priorities straight in that state. legalize the bud, so fewer non violent criminals will not be in a slammer for 2.6 grams of weed. That is ridiculously unfair.
Why does he do this to himself? He seriously has so much talent and athleticism, it makes me sick to see this.
How are the cops going to search his car for failure to use a turn signal? If a cop ever searched my car for no turn signal I would go ballistic.
Well if you got weed in the car you should definitely make sure you don't make any traffic violations.
Cops always win man. They will always find a reason to search your car. Who are people going to believe? A cop or some stoner with less than 2.5 grams? Miles is an idiot for getting caught. You got millions dude, light up in your mansion and get delivery. If I had money like that, I'd bring the party to me instead of going out and looking for one. Always try to be in situations you can control.
Movies and NBA players don't mix. Miles sucked after the Perfect Score. My Giant destroyed Muresan's career. Shaq survived movies, but he's Shaq, and the movies still sucked.
I liked Ray Allen and "He Got Game" I also thought the Clippers players, including Miles were enjoyable in their brief cameo in Van Wilder.
Well, yeah, obviously before he completely let himself go. But I always thought he had such a bright future when I saw him play on the Clippers. When he was making a mini-comeback I was happy for him.
