Just came back a hour ago watching a 10pm showing at a Tinseltown by my house. I just got to say that I am amazed about the movie. I didnt really follow the comics but I have an idea on how the comic book is. I wasnt expecting much, something like a Batman at best, nowhere like Spidey and Xmen, but I have to say that it ranks just as high as its Marvel counterparts. Its suprisingly a dark movie (ala Batman Returns) but at the same time very entertaining. It really focuses on Matt Murdock himself, his history, life in law, etc... Jennifer Gardner is just hot as hell in the film and she just kicks ass. MCD and Colin Farrell played really great roles as the villian. Bullseye was just one cold-blooded villian, one that you would want to be! Overall, I enjoyed alot, didnt expect much, but I got my money's worth and wouldnt mind seeing it a second time around.
Are you talking about the later Batman movies? I think the first Batman is about as good as it gets in refrence to comic book movies. But thats just my humble opinion
Yea, I was expecting something like Forever or B & R. The first 2 are gems as far as comic to silver screen films, not many compare to those 2.
Kingpin is bald, 6'7" and 450lbs. according to a Marvel bio card, realistically no actor comes close to the fit, I think a wise choice...btw, I saw the movie also...dark-themed and definitely at the upper echelon of PG-13...A good thing! The movie was good, but for anyone who has seen it, did it seem unusually grainy? Perhaps it was me, or the theater at AMC Deerbrook...
Check out this funny audio clip of Ben Affleck doing his impression of Colin Farrell. http://www.comingsoon.net/audio/audio.php Click on the 2nd image.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/Daredevil-1120302/ I'm looking forward to Shanghai Nights a lot. Noon was one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Good stuff.
Doesnt look too bad, basically the same stuff from the Superbowl commercial. Im pissed that I was late and barley caught the last 5 secs of the XMen 2 trailer.
That's my theatre man - I have almost 500 moviewatcher points. I hate going there on Fri/Sat nights because of all the damn young punks, I just know I am gonna get in a 10 on 1 brawl there someday...
Yea,...part of the reason why I went to the afternoon show. Don't worry about that 10 on 1 cause I'll have your back!
Amateurs! I have around 800 points since 1996! Damn, that was back in the days where I could get a matinee ticket for $3.50, now they are costing a whopping $6 for matinee. I go to all of the AMC locations, Deerbrook, Gulf Pointe, and Studio. Edit: Whoa, I hit 1000 posts and I wasted the post on this?? Oh well, heres to the countdown to 10,000!!!
Thanks, it really did. Its funny, my cousin was telling me the other day that I about to hit the 1000 mark and didnt even notice.
