I would love to have this guy, still no chatter from the Rockets. The Cavs may be on the verge of another major signing, with point guard Antonio Daniels stating that he would like to return home to Ohio. ''I'm trying to make my decision by the end of this week or the beginning of next week,'' Daniels said. ''I'm interested in Cleveland because I'm from Columbus. Playing close to home would be a great opportunity. Plus LeBron [James] is there and Larry Hughes is there now and Z [Zydrunas Ilgauskas] is still there. That would be a very competitive team in the East.'' As bad as things were looking for the Cavs a month ago, this has been quite a summer for them, thanks in large part to Danny Ferry. Not a very committed quote from Daniels. Every FA thinks highly of every franchise they visit. No one leaves town saying the team is beneath them so don't bother trying to sign them. Lakers are also very much in the race, and I've read that he's also interested in the Bucks (strange as that is). Evan
Daniels will go the Cavs if they want him. The Cavs need a point guard and another PF. I say Cleveland follows closely behind the Lakers as the most likely destination for Daniels.
Hopefully this happens. If the Cavs get Daniels, it pretty much takes them out of the running for Swift, from my perspective.
Daniels wants to go to Portland.... http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/36647/20050714/daniels_could_follow_mcmillan_to_portland/
Once again, you have no link to your story and I couldn't find anything on the Cleveland Plain Dealer Website. Atleast put the crappy message board you get this from as the source.
Chill dude, he posted the Cleveland Plain Dealer as the source and a simple search turned up with this article.
Apologies then, I didn't see that at the end when I looked. I just did a quick search through their headlines and didn't see it. Sorry Rock101
