Ok, had my wife's company's Christmas 'brunch' this afternoon, so I was not going to be home to watch the Cowboys this week anyway, so although I was ticked about that idiotic practice of blacking out Cowboys games whenever the Texans have an opportunity to do so, I was pleased that the Texans finished up their whuppin of the Bucs early enough to watch the 'Boys finish their thriller in Detroit.

Maybe they will replay it on NFL Network this week, but ti looks like Detroit was actually trying to win this game, in defiance of what all the pundits claimed they would do, so Dallas had to give us an entertaining game instead of a blowout. If they replay it, we can see how it all transpired.

Anyway, just wanted to say, 'Damn, Tony Romo is freakin GREAT!'.

Witten fumbled the ball on the one yard line and it didn't have to be this close. But I'll take any opportunity to practice the 2 minute drill with 0 timeouts! That was perfect execution.

No kidding. We OWN the two minute offense, but I was still worried about having to do it with no timeouts left. Thank goodness Romo, Witten, Barber, and the gang came through...

all great teams have luck on their side sometimes. that's twice this year, the Cowboys got REALLY lucky. but i'll definitely credit Romo for staying poised and taking the team down the field.

A win is a win...Good teams find ways to win...I agree, it shouldn't have been that close, but the D couldn't stop them all game, until it counted...I'll take luck as this was one that we should have lost...Kitna is such a big baby...

NFC East Champs, the first since 1998!!! Romo is so f'n good...U can win w/o TO and even his interview after the game showed how great he is and a team player...Trust me, I never thought I'd see it...

    Bring on the Eagles...

It was a good win. Detroit really came to play after being bashed all week as far as giving up sacks and just the whole Kitna controversy. Detroit only gave up one sack...on the last play of the game. Have to give credit to Detroit but they are also proven underachievers who seem to only get up to play for the Cowboy's games. Kitna did pretty well against our porous secondary. However, second half adjustments and zero points allowed in the 4th allowed us to stop them when we needed it. A couple of plays went our way and Romo/Witten did the rest. Terrible start to the game for the Cowboys. As usual, it's not how you start but how you finish.

Major time props to Romo. What a player! He is a championship caliber QB.

If only the Lions had recovered that fumble. Sorry Packers fans. You're going back to Dallas in January.

If not for the numbers Brady is putting up Romo would no doubt be the league MVP right now.

Romo has 17 consecutive games with a TD (franchise record) and he extended his Cowboys single-season passing TD record with two more. He's been exposed!!!!!!

Very excited with the Cowboys victory today to clinch the NFC East division. It was a very lucky game to get the win with the missed field goal and the kicked fumble recovery by the Lions LB. Second game this year that the 'Boys had no business winning but better to be lucky than good sometimes.

The thing that is a little disturbing is the past two games the defense has been lit up with scoring. I wish they could start to control that side of the ball a little better. I know the offense has put up points all year but I don't want to have to rely on scoring 4 touchdowns every game especially in the playoffs.

    Go 'Boys.

Didn't see the game... saw that Texans won, then saw the replay of that Romo to Witten pass w/19 seconds left.

It looked like a good game... better than the one vs. Green Bay.

when that final drive began with just over 2 minutes remaining i was very nervous due to the fact that we were out of time outs.... it wasn't that i didn't think romo was capable of leading the attack, i just wasn't sure the receivers would be able to make it out of bounds when it mattered the most.

after watching the game unfold the way it did, i'm happy there weren't any time outs left. if they had called a time out, it would have allowed the lions to set up a defense and give them a better shot at stopping the boys. and seeing how the game ended and the lions still had time outs remaining, maybe they should have called one or two in order to catch their breath... romo once again showed his jedi tactics.

yep, was a great game, I think the key play of the game was the fumble that the lions player didnt recover.

And Romo is an excellent player, he did two-minute drives (one in the end of the 1st half, and another in the end of the game)

It would be a shame that the best game (statistically) of Witten, would ended in a fumble in the 1-yard line.
