Man this was a nice showing for our future all star SF. He wasn't hesitant like he was before (no airballs). He showed his true shootin touch today, not to mention his quickness & devastating drive. I mean, this guy's pretty damn quick for someone 6'11, and his dribbling, as I observed in the summer league, is pretty good also. He's NOTHING like Matt Bullard aside from the fact that they're both white. I'm glad that Rudy finally decided to run the offense through Langhi. Usually, Danforth comes in & doesnt get enough touches, therefore he doesnt get enough experience. I say, in garbage time, RUN THE OFFENSE through Langhi or even Collier. This is great experience for them. Remember, this guy was the SEC player of the year over Stromile Swift. He Gots GAme people. ------------------ When 1 door closes another 1 open; but we so often look so long & so regretfully on da closed door, that we dont see the ones that be opening for us - alaskanSnowman
I think you meant to say, Future backup small forward. I admit he showed a very good showing, I know the guy can play but he is just nervous in games. He was doing up the lakers 3rd string though. I like that. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
That is very true snowman. Langhi proved all that he had to offer, and how good he will be in the future. His lighting quick drive, his on the money shot, he is everything matt bullard was and more. I simply can't wait for him to get more looks, after all, like snowman pointed out, he beat out stromile swift for SEC player of the year, and that is no easy task. ------------------
No one is denying that at all. But his talent level is obvious-- he has a great shot, speed, athletism-- a lot of tools. That's all they're saying. Maybe this is the game that gets him in a groove, like that Laker game on Nov. 7th did with Collier. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! Cat- Why dont you just become president of his fan club??? ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.

I like that-francis3 He's nervous in the games cuz he doesnt have much experience. This might have been his semi "breakout" game. As far as the "future backup sf", I don't know. What is there that's stopping him from becoming the greatest small forward to ever play the game? (ok i'm exaggeratin a bit) But Langhi seriously does have all the tools needed to become a startin sf for us. His combination of size + athletic abilities + sweet shot are hard to find. And Rudy has repatedly praised Danforth sayin things like "Langhi is a gem" and so on. I hope he doesnt get injured & suffer a setback becuz this guy is the next Cuttino Mobley, a gem drafted in the 2nd round. ------------------ When 1 door closes another 1 open; but we so often look so long & so regretfully on da closed door, that we dont see the ones that be opening for us - alaskanSnowman
Langhi has the tools and he certainly is agressive. If he continues like he is going, he will be worse than Mobley. Does he shoot the ball every time he touches it? I think he is good and will turn out to be a great pick, but don't overdo it - like Bill Worrell saying he is the best leaper on the team...um, no, that would be Francis. ------------------ EZLN
Yeah he has talent. Just needs to hit the weightroom. I remember a funny quote he said when he got drafted "I have put 30 pounds on my bench press since the season ended," Langhi said. SmeggySmeg posted after that. I have one problem with this quote. What if that's the first 30 pounds put on his bench press???? Haha, still laugh at that every time. I think its really true. He benches 75 pounds. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
I agree with snoman 110%. Langhi has all the tools necessary to excel in this sport. There is nothing holding him back from becoming the next Dirk Novitzki. He will probably become even better than Dirk since Langhi has incredible athleticism, something that Dirk lacks. ------------------
Francis3, Might have to, although he isn't the victim of so much senseless bashing like Collier and Mo were so I'm not looking into expansion right now. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
CLUTCH close this thread, its getting way out of hand now. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
I wouldn't say it's quite as out of hand as all the Dream for Kobe and KG threads we've been reading the past week. Let people dream. Doesn't harm anybody. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
I bet before Cat got any real playing time, no one would have thought he could average 18 p/g either. ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
"Maybe this is the game that gets him in a groove, like that Laker game on Nov. 7th did with Collier." I didn't know Collier ever got into a groove. Man if he's in the groove, I hate to see him when he is out of sync. Langhi has some skills. But at this point, he has the strength and build of a high schooler. He desperately needs some weight and strength in that frame of his. If he does that, maybe he'll just surprise us. And to compare Langhi and The Big Dirk is not even funny......Dirk has cooler hair. Langhi needs a new hairdo just to get some more respect on the court. ------------------
LOL Da Man ... yeah, he looks like a freaking jr. High schooler w/that haircut doesn't he ? Lol ------------------ If you are a positive thinking person but yet you listen to country music, isn't that odd?
George Gervin was never big, you don't have to be BIG to play, you just need the Playing TIME to develop. I like Langhi's game a lot, he is a REAL smart player and super aggressive. When he gets in the rotation permanently, ther will be a lot of crow being eaten around here. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
He's not in the groove now obviously. Go back and look at his stats. After the Laker game up to his knee injury, he was consistently coming in off the bench and giving 8-10 points/3-4 rebounds in 15 minutes. Very good numbers. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
im tellin u guyz, snowman and playa are on to somethin here. Langford will be a big tymer in the L.u know, if cat dint hit that shot vs GS a couple of yrs back, he woulda been the victim of a lack of playing time just like langford is rite now. langforth has incredible hops--did yall hear bill worrel last nite???????and then tha response from calvin was like " ummmm i dont know about that bill" --he also is really really quick. he takes people to tha rack all tha time. now if he gets blocked by someone who juss slides over and gets tha guy after hes already in tha air, a lack of skill cannot be claimed. to add to all of this athleticsm, his spot up jumper is SICK too. hopefully, he's lost all of those nerves that hes had be4, and he'll prove his SEC playa of tha yr game. btw, since snow called him danforth, and i called him langford, i say we combine and name him: DANFORTH LANGFORD ------------------ Lookin at a 75 year old man in a thong: NASTY Lookin at Shaq hit free throws: "O SH**!"
