For the last 5 years, Ive always had dandruff bad in the summer time when the heat on my head was so hot. Within the last year, I've used Head & Shoulders everyday. Ever since November, I've had dandruff but its gotten worse in the last 4 months. So since I use a dandruff shampoo (that once worked great for me) everyday, what else can I do to get rid of this dandruff? Seems I heard from somewhere that if you use the same shampoo all the time it's worse for your scalp then if you switched it up every time you had to buy a new shampoo. Any ideas?
Use better GEL products. Someone might have some around here. Spoiler SHAMPOO Gel. http://www.amazon.com/Betatar-Gel-S...7798/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1309558686&sr=8-6
This is the only stuff that has ever worked for me Neutrogena- TGel http://www.amazon.com/Neutrogena-T-Gel-Therapeutic-Shampoo-Strength/dp/B000052XZQ
Don't wash your hair with super hot water and don't wash your hair everyday. Excessive heat drys your scalp and overwashing also drys your scalp. Do those two things and after a week it'll be better. Also, try washing your hair every other time with just conditioner. There is enough detergents in conditioner to get your hair clean and it isn't so harsh.
Go to a good salon and ask them for advice. Also, go see your doctor and describe your problem to him/her. The doc might have an idea of what you need to do to clear it up. Part of your problem, by the way, may not be the products you use (although using "dandruff shampoo" everyday for years has to be terrible for your hair), but a vitamin deficiency. Do you take supplements everyday?
That's good advice. Don't be a wuss and wash your hair with the water being as cold as you can take it. Also, if your hair already has become accustomed to the dandruff shampoo, it has become immune. Switch to a different level or brand.
You caught some Gorilla Dandruff What happened was, your zookeeper was getting down and dirty with a Silverback. (to make up for your pathetic performance in the sack) Her jungle got inhabited by a fungus from the actual jungle, and while you were goin south...your hair hit some of the unkempt bush. You got some on you...and it blossomed because you probably live in a moldy home. Hope that helped!
Agree with this. I always switch the water to cold when I'm washing my hair. And shampoo every other day at the most. I don't do conditioner though. I don't think it really does anything for my hair. You should definitely see a doctor about it.
