With Clips likely to match Q Suns have $ to sign someone else. Damp's not having signed yet makes me suspect he could go to the desert. Suns would be better balanced, tougher. Would there room for two low court guys?

Let's see -- Shaq to Hat. Damp to dry heat???

It is possible. I think the Clippers WILL match the Q contract and the Suns ARE looking for a C. Them getting Dampier in my opinion would be huge. Their lineup would be

    Nash
    Johnson
    Marion
    Stoudamire
    Dampier

That is a SOLID lineup. The Dampier, Stoudamire, Marion front line would be a VERY strong lineup, especially rebounding wise. I think in the short run that team would be very good but it is only a matter of time before those contracts become to much of a burden for them.

If I were them I would go after Dampier and then try to move Marion for bench role players and cut salary to make room for Stoudamire's Max contract when it comes up. Plus they will have to pay a ton for JJ as well.

He makes a lot of sense for Phoenix, and I have a feeling that the Q situation is something he and his agent are waiting on. He's said that he wants to play in the East, but I'm sure that Shaq being in Miami could change his mind. If not, I'm sure the cash will.

    I'd bet on the cash.

GS? No Knick SnT. No Pacer SnT. Just another lost asset. Mullin needs to look after his franchise, but -- it is seeming not so.

I hope Damp goes to the Hawks.. because if the Suns pick up Damp they are loaded at every position.

I think they dont have the capspace for Damp but I've seen weirder things happen.

Im tired of all the talent coming West. I want more bigs to move east and make things easier for our team/ =P

Damp has expressed the desire to play out east. Don't get me wrong, Damp is all about the cash money but he still wills to play out in the east where he can be more of a beast. Or so he claims.

Damp is a talent far greater than a motivated, healthy contributor. He could make the Suns really tough. He might drag them down.

IMO he's a perfect fit for Hawks. I still suspect he'll be a Sun, tho.
