Wouldn't put it past Obama to sling mud with the best of them. He learned his lesson after wasting two years trying to cooperate with the Republicans. Having said that, I actually do not have an issue with this add. There is noting false in it, and it is in line with the Obama narrative of Romney. I expect them to get more and more nasty.
No, but I guarantee you that Obama knows about it. Any b****ing should be directed to the SCOTUS, and Citizens United.
Meh, that ad was dumb... and it's not an official ad anyway. I keep reading/hearing headlines about how the ads this election cycle has hit a new level of viciousness--I don't see it. I'm always the first to cry foul at the baseless wacko attacks on Obama, but the official "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message" ads so far have been of the usual variety--likewise with Obama's. Well, the ones I have seen at least. All these other organizations making their ads, well, whatever.
Yeah I'm sure Obama has nothing to do with ads put out by the independent group that supports him and is run by his former deputy press secretary. The ad that featured a person that Obama's current deputy campaign director introduced to the media earlier this year? I'm sure Obama's team had nothing to do with it!
I like it. The key is pulling in White working class voters. Once they abandon the GOP, Democrats can form a super majority.
But what is she even talking about? "I picked up garbage on Mitt Romney's street. I helped make his neighborhood. Why does he want to get rid of my job?" Has Mitt Romney said we should get rid of garbage collectors?
Don’t claim Mitt Romney doesn’t know or care about garbage men when he devotes a specific mention about them in his book, right down to the line about being invisible: “During my campaign for governor, I decided to spend a day every few weeks doing the jobs of other people in Massachusetts. Among other jobs, I cooked sausages at Fenway Park, worked on asphalt paving crew, stacked bales of hay on a farm, volunteered in an emergency room, served food at a nursing home, and worked as a child-care assistant. I’m often asked which was the hardest job – it’s child care, by a mile.” “One day I gathered trash as a garbage collector. I stood on that little platform at the back of the truck, holding on as the driver navigated his way through the narrow streets of Boston. As we pulled up to traffic lights, I noticed that the shoppers and businesspeople who were standing only a few feet from me didn’t even see me. It was as if I was invisible. Perhaps it was because a lot of us don’t think garbage men are worthy of notice; I disagree – anyone who works that hard deserves our respect. – I wasn’t a particularly good garbage collector: at one point, after filling the trough at the back of the truck, I pulled the wrong hydraulic lever. Instead of pushing the load into the truck, I dumped it onto the street. Maybe the suits didn’t notice me, but the guys at the construction site sure did…” (251) The AFSCME claim isn’t just poor agi-prop, it was directly refuted before it was ever written. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/pjmedia/instapundit/~3/Ipy6kHJWVDM/
