The new P.T. Anderson film with Adam Sandler and Emily Watson? I got a free pass to the sneak preview if anyone wants to go with me.
Har har. One of my good friends from high school lives up here and is an OU fan. I was at his place Saturday. I think I'm banned from there too. ROXRAN, I love it up here! Can't believe it.
AHHHHHHHH, man.....I would of joined you, but I'm think I'm a lil too late in asking for it. So you like the area you living in? Better than Houston? We have to form our own Rox club up here in Dallas....and forget this Mavericks BULLSH!T up here...
this is not like PT Anderson's other films. In Magnolia and Boogie Nights( and even Hard Eight), there was a tight cast of interwoven characters, with stories on grand scales. Punch Drunk Love is about a guy with seven sisters who drive him crazy, then he finds a scam in which if he buys enough Healthy Choice pudding he can win free air miles. his sister tries to hook him up with Emily Watson, but he is pretty socially inept. he ends up calling a phone sex operator, which ends up biting him in the ass. thats when Phil Seymour Hoffman enters and thats all i am going to say. the interesting moments are the silent ones, the ones in which Anderson subtly moves the camera or Sandler just stares out into space. nice work by Sandler, a pleasant surprise by Anderson. and we'll see you...... at the movies
Are you ****ing r****ded? I live in Atlanta. So its not like I could have come anyway. I was just saying if I could have, I would have. So **** off, and eat some poop. Although with a name that uses a professional wrestling reference, I couldn't expect much with regards to your intelligence. (That means that wrestling fans are stupid, for all you slower types out there. i.e. - RM95)
Im no PT Anderson fan, but I gotta admit, its a pretty good movie. The pacing is good, the acting is excellent, especially from Sandler which is surprising. I loved the guy in Billy Madison all the way up until Waterboy. Lil Nicky, Big Daddy, and Mr. Deeds sucked @ss, but he more then redeems himself in this movie. Surprising how intense some of the scenes can be, and how you can relate to Sandler's character's frustration and pent up rage. His casting was perfect. Its a strange, quirky little movie, but it deserves all the accolades that it will get in the next few months.
