Another big game for the QB's. Looks like Quincy will start according to Jerry Jones, completely different from the report of Chad starting, though he may still get more playing time. So I guess QC has an edge at QB. Antonio Bryant will not play. Larry Allen is expected to play, but did not travel will the team due to family matters or something. Good game at a good stadium. I heard Parcells likes playing here because even in preseason, the crowds are good, making it feel like a season game. May post more later. Have to get ready for school now.
What exactly is up with Larry Allen? Is he hurt, just lazy/fat/out of shape or is he ticked about the way Emmitt was treated? I know how horrible Tyson Walters is, so if he's playing above Allen something is seriously wrong. As for the QBs, I hope Hutch has a good game. I'm not a fan of Quincy.
Go Pittsburgh !!! Hate the Cowboys. The only person on that team I liked is gone now......Steelers are going to have to get that Offense going.......
Ah yes, it is very close to football season which means reading threads about stuff (the Cowgirls) that only 4 people (it seems) care about. I know Nuggets4, gr8-1, and Drewdog are Bronco fans; maybe I will start a thread every time the Broncs have a game. Thanks for the idea, RC!
I want QC to win the starting qb position. Both of them suck, but QC is more of a playmaker and can make up for that sorry oline. Trade for Henson. Bring in another qb for next year plz. Manny: you do that.
Bah, the constant propensity of those threads clutter the hangout. Actually, I despise Jerry Jones as well as all egomaniac sports owners, and I would love to see this team fail. Not only because of him, but also because how the media absolutely kisses Parcells' ass (read: Cowboys will NOW be good because of him!). Seeing how the Tuna acts around them and hearing them laugh makes me want to puke.
yah, I see so many of these threads. Not like cool "looks like im going to ... " crap. I hate JJ as well. I don't see many media people(except for the super homers) saying the Cowboys are going to be good NOW(just improved), but maybe good in one or 2 years.
I'll be watching the game tonight. Go Cowboys!! I'm waiting for us to fall apart starting at QB. Bill may not make a decision on our starting QB up until gametime of the first regular season game at this point. I'm leaning to QC over Hutch currently. Hutch is a fumbling fool. He has to show me(and Bill) something tonight or it's hasta la vista on the starting QB job. The pressure is on...BIGTIME. We may win less games than we won each of the previous 3 seasons. That doesn't deter me cause I'm a real fan. Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me. LOL
Man, I didn't expect so many replies, though most of them are from people that just what to see the Cowboys lose by 30. As for why I started the thread, I'm pumped for football like everybody else and I know there are other Cowboy fans here. I know it is just a preseason game, but I was actually planning on starting one on the scrimmage a couple weeks ago, but I forgot and later found one in the Texans thread. Against the Cardinals, I was going to but my internet was messed up and when it worked again, the Cowboys were already looking terrible, so I decided not to. If there are plenty of Bronco fans, why not start a thread for just a preseason game? Wouldn't be any worse than some of the threads, like mentioned. Plus, I know a Summer League game can get like 3 pages in the GARM, and I would think at least some people are that excited about NFL, like me, as well. (though I can understand that that is usually due to just Houston sports.) I don't really like JJ as well. In fact, who does like him? At least he hasn't promised playoffs or anything like that, at least not to my knowledge. I'm split with both QB's, but just because they both suck. I'd probably lean towards QC because, like CriscoKidd said, seems to be good at making plays and is able to make 1st downs if a play fails. I thought Hutch was going to be a lot better, but he hasn't really looked good at all. I remember seeing him underthrow a receiver by a bit on a short route where he was wide open. I forgot what happend, but I think if he had zinged it in there, which I would have thought he could do, we could have got a better play. Plus, I read he struggled in practice at the same situations. (short passes). As for Larry, I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with him. I'm leaning towards laziness and probably frustation. He supposedly has had a "puffy ankle," though not the one he had surgery on last year. This is pretty much the reason why he didn't practice much and missed the last game. However, he's been getting beat by everyone, and no one should be doing that to LA. He is a little lighter than he usually is, but he is certainly out of shape. The reason why I think he may be lazy is that he always seems to have a reason to not do the sprints in some of the practices. I hope I'm wrong, though. If that is so, then Larry may not have much left in him, and if that is so, we are going to suck even more, if that's even possible.
I'm so gald that I have the night off from work. Go Cowboys!!! Hopefully Quincy can continue to build on last weeks performance and has a good game. Chad gets on my damn nerves. He's even more immoble than Troy, and that's saying something.
Do you hate Jerry Jones? Does a cat have an ass? What a stupid question. Cowboy fans and other fans alike all hate Jerry Jones. Go Cowboys.
