I honestly think that series would have gone 7 with Juwan Howard instead of NVE and Raef

Juwan is an underrated one on one post defender

True or false? I'm a Howard skeptic, having watched him play in DC, but the Mavs frontcourt defense was almost nonexistent.

You know that Howard has won everywhere he has played except college and the NBA. :)

You think the Mavs backcourt played defense? :p

I don't think Howard would've made any difference.

Well if they had Howard, that means no 2 PG lineup (NVE and Nash), meaning no Jackson and Bibby out on the floor together. I'm not really sure if Howard would have made a difference, just thought I'd point that out as well...

The outcome of the series I think would have been the same however Webber would have had a much tougher time. As we all know Juwan is not exactly one of the top PF's in the game. However thoughout his career he has always played Webber better than he plays anyone else. I also think that the Kings would have still played Bibby, and Jackson together because remember Nellie used Nash, and Hardaway in the same backcourt numerous times before the trade deadline. With that in mind Bibby, and Jackson would have done even more damage.

Hmm, maybe Dallas should trade La Frenz for Kandi. Interesting.

Dallas could use a shot-blocking, space-eating big man in the middle. I don't see how they get one, though?

The Mavs definitely would have done better with Howard. As TexasG said, Howard has always played Webber very, very well; probably because they are good friends and Howard knows Webber inside and out. Some players just have other players' numbers, and Howard has Webber's. Strange but true.
