    Excellent article...but i still think dallas will be in good shape next year..even if they dont pick up anyone..but if thats the case im confident we can beat them in a 7 game series :D

    we are going to the second round next year, even if we have to play the mavs in the first round again.


    lets see what else we do. if we upgrade the guards at all i will say we can make the WCF.

    Wow, that guy is truly an idiot.

    First, how is it that Swift would've put them over the top? Was he gonna start over Dirk & Dampier? No way.

    And since Swift would not have been starting, why exactly would he pick Dallas over Houston? The guy makes it sounds like it was a given that they could've gotten Swift if they had tried AT ALL.

    What a waste of space.

    Possible weapon to Amare? Did this guy watch the Grizz - Suns series. Amare tore Swift a new hole and then some.

    they probably would have slid dirk to the 3, especially if finley does depart. it would have given them

    damp/stro/dirk/stackhouse or howard/terry as a starting 5.

    This is what cracks me up.

    You see this sentiment all over Mavs and Lakers boards (and probably other teams, too -- I haven't checked).

    The basic whine is, "Why didn't we go after Swift? If he signed for the MLE with a pathetic loser team like Houston, then our glorious [Mavs, Lakers, etc] could have signed him for $50,000 per year! If only we'd tried. [Mark Cuban, Mitch Kupchak, etc.] was asleep at the wheel on this one."

    As if playing on a front line with Yao/T-Mac wasn't a draw. And a bigger draw than playing with a ball-hog in Kobe or a paper tiger like the Mavs...

    The he said, that the Rockets have the worst unis in the L? What is he stupid? I don't think many people like that nasty alternative green looking unis they wear. It's all about the RED !

    If I were the Mavs and I signed Swift, I would still start Damp/Dirk/Howard/Stack/Terry. I wouldn't even think twice.
