The Dallas Mavericks actually have a shot at the old 93-94 Rocket's record of most wins to start a season. This means on Thursday the Rocket's actually have a chance to defend this record. I think Houston matches up as good as anyone with Dallas... but we shall see.

I was wondering what the rcord was. 15-0 was in my head for some reason.

The Mavs are playing with determination to win. The Rocks should see this as a chance to make a statement and come out super strong.

We get to see the Praying Mantis vs. The Great Wall. (Bradley v Ming). Since lots of sports casters are comparing the two, I would like to see Ming beat Bradley down.

(Didn't we draft Najera and trade him? He is a scrappy player.)

The Mavs have no shot at the 16-0 record, 'cause we'll beat them on Thursday, and it'll be a moot point!

The record was 16-0 to start the '94 season, but that's a tie with Atlanta in some other year. The team that the Rockets first lost to was game #17 to Atlanta, who at least ended up tied for longest winning streak starting a season...therefore they kept the Rockets for fully taking their record.

It will be a good game. We always play dallas well.

I expect the guys to come out with fire and defend "their" record.

    GO ROCKS!!!

Najera played for OU. The Mavs can have him.

We traded Najera aka Shrek for Dan Langhi i believe. And yes, we will win against the Mavs.

Yes, the record is 15-0, therefore 16-0 would break the record.

It's 15-0, we tied the record against the Knicks, then lost the next night in Atlanta.

See people, I toldya it was 15-0. And the Knicks were talking about how they didn't want to give up the win on their homecourt.

Mavs' schedule for next five games:

    19 Lakers
    21 Rocks
    23 Sonics
    27 @Pistons
    28 @Pacers

The Sonics will be the toughest game for the Mavs. I'm going to be hoping for a L there. I guess Shaq's coming back, right? Maybe the Lakers will be able to stop them, but I doubt it since they'll be trying to adjust to Shaq back in the lineup. I'll be thrilled for an upset by the Rocks, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Game 15, Mavs play the Pacers on the second of a road back-to-back. Maybe they'll be tired.

They won't get it...we'll beat them. The Rockets have pride and I doubt Rudy T will let them forget.

I was kind of wondering about what DallasThomas said, and everyone else says it was 15-0. That's what I thought too. So I had to do a little further research and look on Rockets.com. This is what it said:

(1993-94) After tying for the best start in NBA history, the Rockets finished the 1993-94 season with the franchise's best record ever. Houston used a 15-0 start to catapult itself to the top of the Midwest Division, finishing with a 58-24 record.

    And then this:

    http://www.basketball.com/nba/records/NBAteamRegWL.shtml

Most consecutive games won, start of season
    15 Washington (11/3/48 - 12/4/48)
    15 Houston (11/5/93 - 12/2/93)

    Just to clarify...:D

But it doesn't matter....Dallas is going to lose to us on Thursday!
