4/12/09 Game Thread Dallas @ New Orleans -- Huge game here.. The tiebreaker of this series would go to New Orleans if they won this game because they are already up 2-1 in the series. This game might essentially tell us who we play if we win out and Denver loses against Portland. I'm pretty confident that the Rockets will get the 2nd seed if Yao plays for at least one of our remaining two games. So, I'm going for the Hornets as they are the easier opponent for us to face incase we do get the 2nd seed. Go Hornets!!! San Antonio @ Sacramento -- I don't think the Spurs will lose this game, they have been slumping lately but they know what's at stake here. They could possibly fall to the 5th seed if they lose this game and Portland/Houston win out. So, I think the Spurs will be ready for this game, and it's really only the Kings who are the worst in the league, so it shouldn't be too hard for them. Obviously, a loss for the Sours would be a good thing for us, so go Kings!!!
Dallas is on a surge right now I'll be very surprised if they lose, especially against a NO team that doesn't look like it cares
I'm not kidding...I have Sac-Town taking down San Antonio today. The game is in Sac, right? The Kings have nothing left to play for, so I can see them giving the Spurs the business and playing up to the competition for the home crowd. If I'm right, somehow, the Rockets will jump to number 2, right?
No, the only way the Rockets jump to 2 is if Denver loses a game. That is probably likely though because they are going to play Portland in the last game of the season IN Portland. San Antonio, at this point, is irrelevant to the Rockets UNLESS the Rockets drop 1 or 2 of the games remaining in their schedule.
Thanks for the clarification. I don't know who to cheer for anymore. The season just needs to end already!
The hornets' bench sucks! I expect CP3 will play whole 2nd half, and will run out of gas when the hornets play the rockets tomorrow!
I remember the rockets without Yao beat the hornets last time in new orleans. And, I think Yao will play tomorrow.
Chandler always defends Duncan well. This pretty much guarantees that the hornets will beat the spurs. It means the the rockets will get the HCA and the jazz will be the 8th.
Don't forget we have to root for Celtics to beat Cavaliers so that Lakers has the incentive to beat Utah at home.
Forget it. Because Orlando lost last night, the Celts have clinched #2 in the East. They have zero to play for and you know Doc isn't going to push it hard this game.
I think the lakers will be beat the jazz, and it will be a blow out win. The last game for the lakers is on Tuesday, and their 1st playoff game will be on sunday (broadcast on abc). There is enough time for their stars to rest. I don't think the lakers will let jazz feel any hope. Plus, the lakers won't let wc playoff teams feel they don't want to play a certain team. They want to show they are not afraid of any team.
