So, after putting over 3,000 songs on my iPod with no playlists, I decided to go through my entire library and grab all my favorite songs to put in a playlist so I can just shuffle through those while driving rather than skipping eight songs before finding one I want to listen to. Well, I went down my library, added them to the playlist, shuffled the playlist, and ejected the iPod. However, when I go to the playlist, the songs aren't shuffled. Is there a way for me to do this. I hope I didn't waste the last hour of my life.
you have to turn on shuffle on the Ipod. My little sister says you go to the menu and turn it on. Not sure where in the menu it is though.
Me too. Lucky for you my little sister was on the phone harrassing me when I came across your post. You're welcome.
Is anyone else having problems downloading songs onto their ipod after installing the latest update? Everytime I go to download new music I've Oink'd onto my ipod (as soon as I plug it in to the 'puter) my itunes freezes. It's been doing this for weeks. PIssing me off, it is. [/Yodafan]
How can you put 3000 songs on an iPod without playlists? The playlists are what I listen to 99% of the time. I guess different strokes for different folks.
No idea...I was just trying to get as many of my CDs on there as possible. Another question. I have a CD I try to import, but when I do, it takes like 35 minutes a song and sometimes it doesn't even import the entire song. The CD plays fine and it's not a new one with any kind of anti-piracy stuff.
Lazy ass. How come I found it? I enjoy Grey's Anatomy as well. Settings for the iPod are in the iPod, not in iTunes. Just click around in the settings, bud. About importing the CD, go to the advanced/import section and tell it NOT to play the song while it imports. You can always view the CD and drag only the songs you want (not all of them) to the library. They should import at about 2.5x to 5.5x the amount of time.
Every time I've downloaded one of the updates iTunes tells me to, I have problems. I don't even download them anymore.
I have never downloaded an update to iTunes. Your comments and those of LonghornFan confirm my caution was justified.
