Apparently on a radio show DA had something not so nice to say about the Lakers: "Source: AM 570, Sports Night (Hacksaw) Apparently D.A. had some words for the Lakers... after signing a two year deal worth $1.67 million "I'd rather take 1.7(million) and win than 2.5 and lose." CLEARLY a shot at the Lakers... Thats great if you ask me, I like a little bit of outspokeness maybe he will be out there thumpin heads when people mess with Yao.
Be careful, the Phil Jackson factor is really significant. He's got Kobe and a bunch of role players, should be interesting!
but' didn't we all see what happened when Shaq was injured for long stretches while PJ was coaching? Kobe got his 40 and lakers still lost..
Probably the most non-Rocket thing I'm curious about this year. If Jackson can pull off a good season for the Lakers, my opinion about him may change.
Derek Anderson just telling the truth. Phil Jackson isnt going to work a miracle in LA. His work next season is synonymous with polishing a turd.
This was a rumor that was apparently posted on a Laker's messageboard. No one heard it themselves, just kept pasting what the original thread starter said.
Agreed. And not because of their losing - but because of Kobe's domineering attitude. I hope the worst for them.
I sure do hope the worse for Lakers. But just remember how many NBA fans count Sonics in before the start of last season; Most didn't, but Sonics did make some noise then. We better not underestimate a coach with 9 rings. If PJ can help Lakers to squeeze back into playoff, I will not be surprised. KH
