So if Yao renegotiated his contract to take less money next year, we wouldn't be able to use those savings to bring in another player. I did not know that.

Short and Sweet: 1) Morey joked that if Aaron didn't break 3 point record, he would shave 610 into his head with a Ron Artest mohawk. 2)Wants team to have momentum going into offseason for free agent recruiting and to evaluate where they're at. 3)Spoke about Kevin Martin back to healthy. 4)Said the win against Jazz was "Basketball Gods" getting back at them for the game before when there was a non call on the Durant foul. 5)Rockets are against reviewing plays in final couple of minutes to keep the game flowing and entertaining. 6)Felt that back to backs were necessary considering the number of games in the season. 7)Spoke on Rockets being best team without an All Star since 1976. Said he put it out bc they do have an allstar coming back next year and hoping to finish better than .500. Hinted at major improvement just getting Yao back. 8)Said Martin is getting used to system and conditioning wasn't as good as it should have been due to the slower nature of the Kings system. Thinks Martin will benefit greatly with Yao in the middle. 9)Touched on how to evaluate coaches with large amounts of wins and no chips. Specifically Nelson and Adelman. Said you have to evaluate each season and the level of talent on those teams. huge thanks man! the most important tidbit from Morey I find was That's very telling of the Rockets mindset. That basically says the only untouchable is Yao and they'll give up anything for an all-star.
