http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timofey_Mozgov i admit the number of games i watch the cavs play are way fewer than i do rockets games. they're not even close. in other words, i have not watched enough of his games. but this mozgov guy has caught my attention this playoff season. sometimes, i'd think who is and will be a better player b/w him and d-mo (i know one is a 4/5 and the other is a pure 5). sometimes i wonder if we should unload dwight's huge salary and somehow in some way acquire this mozgov guy. maybe this is just one of my late night random and silly thoughts...
dmo is underrated on defense. his rotations are perfect and he's 7foot so he has great size for a pf. he kept getting tired which explains why he couldnt deliver in the 4th quarter. then the back injury he was keeping quiet about for a month. doesnt even need to bulk up (tho it would help a lot). if he can figure out how to play 30mpg w/o being tired, he's a quality starting pf. with a 3pt shot he's the stretch 4 rockets wanted next to dwight. the pf/c rotation is too good, need trade jones or let smith go. this team needs help on the perimeter
exactly my thought. if only dwight can hit more than half of his fts we'll probably be in the finals and he'll be mvp.
Mongol has some good things about his game. Good touch, and yes it's weird asarockets fan to watch a big man hit free throws. But Dwight and dom both are WAY WAY better on d. Especially Dwight
A huge component of Mozgov's defensive freedom is Tristan Thompson's rebounding tenacity. Put someone like that next to Dwight and watch him work
They have Lebron that's the difference... playing with him is like playing with the refs on your team. I saw Cav's getting all kinds of calls in Oakland we never got.
Wow! That'd be a dream... Though I'd like Mozgov + Thompson more. If I'm the Rockets, I'll even throw DMo or a pick just to make it work.
