MAN! If I had known they would post the video I wouldn't have transcribed it! Thanks for posting. Edit: Here's what I posted in the 610 thread Spoiler Host: talk about your second season in the dleague after winning the chip last year DM: 6 in a row, only 16 more to break the Rockets 22 in a row record (big grin) It's great, everything about the dleague is fantastic. Our owner has a great partnership with the owner of the vipers, Mr. Cantu and Dan Reed has done an unbelievable job as commissioner We get so much out of it Host: Hybrid model who's idea is it? DM: We make group decisions with the Rockets, that way I can blame someone later Host: Patrick? DM: Yeah, he's played really well. The work he did down here is really panning out on the floor up in Houston. I think he's shooting 60% and rebounding the ball, he's doing everything. He's probably playing better than he can sustain, but he's probably in the NBA for good, you probably won't see him down in Vipers land again for a while. Host: Ish? DM: He's someone we've been trying to get down to get some work in, every time he almost goes down we'll take an injury, but it looks like there's another window for ish to come down, I think fans will be really excited about him. Host: Other guys at the showcase you have interest in DM: Just a ton of talent. Tiny Gallon has stood out. Other guys might be playing better but he has sort of the body and a lot of NBA skills that will intrigue teams... this game is featuring just a ton of guys who could be called up Joe Alexander, DeShawn Williams, guys who have already been there, Jeffers, Courtney Sims. There's too many to name, this game might be the best of the whole week. Host: Single affliate clubs, rivalry? DM: We're all very competitive, I think that's why the southwest division in the NBA is so competitive every year. It's the strongest division in basketball. And down here in the dleague it's the same, pretty much the strongest teams are here in Texas. Host: Melo? Trying to acquire? Any update? DM: Definitely can't talk about specific players, we're aggressively trying to improve our team any way we can and nothing imminent right now, but you never know when something will break free. Host: What do you look for in the dleague showcase? DM: We look for what we look for in every player. We look for high character competitors. That's served us well over time. Then we look for players that have one definite NBA skill. Whether it be, shooting, rebounding, ball-handling, passing... they have to have one skill that makes the coach go I ought to give that guy a chance, because they are likely coming up at the end of the bench. Once they get that first try, they might stick. Host: Calling up coaches - Finch's development as becoming an NBA coach DM: That's Coach Finch's dream. We feel like he's definitely got that potential. How that plays out over time is sort of the same as a player, you don't know when that break will come. We are lucky to have him and he's got a great career hopefully he continues to blossom with Houston, but he's so good where you never know how it will turn out.
