I see mcmark has already posted the Time Person of the Year Barack Obama. Other than Obama who else do you think should've gotten consideration? Off the top of my head I would obviously have John McCain, but I think Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin certainly deserve consideration.
From the title, I thought this was going to be like a referendum on the poster of the year here in the D&D...
I was thinking about doing that but felt it might get too snarky. If you want to nominate a D & D poster by all means do so.
Joe the Plumber? That guy who jumped down onto the tracks in the New York subway to save someone who was having a epileptic seizure. I know that was a couple of years ago now, but I'm still helluva impressed with that guy.
While the election of Obama was certainly an amazing point in history, if I were to predict, now, I would say that Paulson's and Bernanke's actions this year have greater long term effects than anything that Obama does as president. Others (honorable mentions): David Walker, Warren Buffett, Vladimir Putin, Vaclav Klaus, Barney Frank, Ron Paul.
like someone already said, I thought this was about the "D&D poster of the year".. I will ignore the thread's actual subject anyways and state that King Cheetah & Sam Fisher win the D&D co-posters of the year.. Sam's replies to basso's threads are priceless.. I especially like the use of the word "suck" as an adjective.. King Cheetah is, well, King Cheetah..
If that's the case then it should be Basso. If not for Basso there wouldn't be Sam's replies and also how many posters have threads started by other posters about them.
