Im sorry I know she is just getting started but Cynthia is just terrible with her "interviews" she spends half the time stuttering and thinking of what to say. Definitely no Malosky. Anybody else feel this way or am I just an A**hole???

She needs to process her thoughts before she goes up to people.

I think Cynthia would do better in the booth with Bill and Calvin due to her basketball knowledge and experience. Leave the interviews to the she-male Malosky.

Yeah. I'm thinking she was terrible tonight too. We'll see if she gets better but honestly, it's looking to me like we're going to have Calvin Murphy 2 on our hands. She appears to just want to cut up and crack jokes like Calvin. I love Calvin, but one is enough. I like serious interviews at the half.

And yes, she did seem as though she had put no thought whatsoever into what questions she'd be asking and was struggling to even speak with out stuttering.

She seems a bit touchy-feely with the players. Cuttino's body language at one point seemed turned off by it.

So far its been pretty poor but I like Coop so it'll probably grow on me.

Cynthia a awful. She has no business there.... nor is she attractive, which is usually important for TV interviewers.

Plus, she's throwing a lot of "Sista" talk into her interviews with players. That's not English and it's not professional.

In other words: She's the female version of Calvin Murphy?

Lisa might not have been the best, but watching Cooper is == pounding nails into you kneecaps.

Lisa Malosky... where are you...???? Please come back and help the Rockets Organization...

http://www.agdomain.net/general/gladiatorcandids.htm (first few pictures in there)

PLEASE... PLEASE HELP THEM (quoting FA-ZU in Mulan, in case you didn't notice)

Does anyone know where she went?

The pics in the above link make good "Photoshopping" candidates for a "BRINK BAK MALOSKY" petition.

I'm not impressed with Miss Cooper either. She seemed to stumble through the last interview with Moochie as well.
Since I posted late in the other Cooper thread, I'll just copy what I said in the last one...some of us obviously didn't see it....

What I originally posted about Lisa :

I can't believe all you goons who actually took jabs at her looks. What kind of people are you? She wasn't a playmate, sure, but if you want to drool over women, go elsewhere, watch something else. She was an average looking woman from what I could tell,
who worked hard at her job, doing what NONE OF YOU could do, I'm sure.
She may not be perfect at what she did, but that's hardly a reason to insult her that way. She may read this board for all you know. She may be a follower of what we all follow here.
I know some of you just spew things out without thinking, but come on, be respectful.

I went to Houston Wednesday night to watch the game on Channel 51. Cooper should be like Demosthenes -- only use basketballs rather than polished stones. She would probably be more understandable and certainly more entertaining. Bad? No, she found the proverbial next level.

Let's see...it's her very FIRST day doing this. She's interviewing everyone she can find.

Ewing - He laughs and jokes with her.
Steve - He says that no one would get this exclusive.
    Cat - Laughs and jokes
Cato - She actually gets Cato in 2 interviews. Remember Cato? The guy who will NOT talk to the media?
Also, do you remember those white things under Eddie's nose? Those were his teeth - he was smiling...but then again, (Insert sarcasm) Eddie is hysterical!!??!
Moochie - She gets Moochie to talk about God, Jesus, and his conversion from last year.

Let's see - how did Yao do in his first game, Steve in his first season? Maybe it was Lisa's UNBELIEVABLY insightful questions that has this board in this uproar? Maybe it was her delivery of 'Let's take a look at those first half highlights, shall we?' that makes everyone long for the past?

God forbid that the Rockets do something new, try something different, go in a different direction, look to the future, or try to BE BIG!! Maybe, just maybe, the players that are on the team would like to speak to someone they know, respect their game, see everyday, and could open up to down the line?

Why they didn't talk about lost family members to Cynthia on her FIRST day at MEDIA DAY is beyond me (Again, sarcasm inserted)

Anyway, why don't we re-open this thread in a couple of months and see how she did? Remember, like we did with Yao?

BTW - Cynthia 'gets it', this is not cryptic, this could be a pen name but it's not a comeback - not yet anyway! Thxmcm.

Where were you when I was defending Cynthia Cooper's legacy against the legion (of one) evil Swoopes supporters?

I'm a big Cooper fan, but she is not good as an interviewer. Her insight (into women's basketball) would be better served in the broadcast booth or the front office.

It's the 3rd game and her climax question is still "so, what do you think about the uniforms?"

I agree with everyone that Cynthia is not a good interviewer yet.
Maybe she will get better, maybe she won't.
What she brings is the relationship, respect she has with the players that allows her to get these exclusive/ intimate interviews you don't normally get with other reporters.
