As other's have pointed out, Gogi isn't going anywhere at a discount. The Suns traded him to us for Brooks and a 1st......what does that say about them? He made the best financial decision for him two years ago, and he will do the same in 2015. I'm sure he's comfortable with either the Suns or Rockets. I don't think we are really zoned into any one player. There's probably 10 or so we are following closely, waiting for the right opportunity to present itself. Who knows, maybe a guy like Al Horford hits the market after all this Atlanta mess.
So is there a date we should be looking for when it comes to Bledsoe. Not sure what they are waiting for here. Edit - found it October 1st.
Suns don't need to save jack squat to pay Dragic. They have his bird rights and can easily re-sign him to any amount over the cap. If they're saving money, the only reason would be because their owner's cheap.
Thanks Captain Obvious. We all know Rox are looking for a PG upgrade, even before Lin was traded. I don't need an insider to tell me those "gettable" options are still in play.
In about six and half weeks we will know for sure what team we are taking into the regular season! Without a doubt.
Well then that's who I want. I'd rather get Rubio and have something left to invest into a quality PF.
No to Rubio. Would rather just stick with Beverly IMO. Don't wanna see the rockets make a trade just to make a trade.
Their's also a reason why Morey would value Rubio highly enough to trade for him and lock him up in a big contract. If Morey is sold enough on Rubio to invest that much into him, then i'm sold on Rubio too. If Morey doesn't trade for him, then he doesn't trade for him.
I thought Flip might make more of a fuss over Rubio, given the recent article of strong(-ish?) ticket sales in the wake of Kevin Love's absence (although that probably has more to do with landing Wiggins).
Exactly. Intrinsic value and market value are different animals. Market is not always right (tend to be backward-looking, ignorant of fit issue etc etc).
