Can we do it without giving up Ariza? I thought Harden was adamant about going after him in free agency last summer.
you would have to do it given the chance. even though he is getting older with the cap going up so much you will be able to fill in the roster in the coming 2 seasons because A LOT of players would want to play with harden/aldrich/howard if they are all healthy. so you would be very competitive in the FA market. crazy to even think about it.
I agree. Rondo's best bet might be to sign a decent one-year contract somewhere and re-establish his credentials and hit the big Jackpot Summer of '16 as an UFA.
No because only Ariza, Howard, and Harden make enough to make the numbers work since JET and Brewer are expirings.
Crazy talking to my Rockets guys and seeing how ahead Morey and his team work. These guys have things laid out.
do we HAVE to give up Ariza? he's very valuable to this team. who's gonna guard the elite perimeter players?
and if it had to be a trade you would probably have to give up dmo or jones, capela, and 2 1st round picks. i suppose that would be an even trade if aldrich said he wanted to come to the rockets.
I assumed as much, but do we even have space for him? I guess we would dump Dorsey on Philly or Utah.
A LOCK you say? eh, I love Scola, if he was to take Dorsey's spot that would be fine with me. But how much game does Scola have left? I haven't been watching.
I doubt we would have to give up all the assets since LMA has all the leverage. We would just have give them enough to match salaries that isn't dead weight.
What's the thinking behind that, cyberx? At this point of his career, what does Scola bring that we need so desperately?
