What do you guys think of them? Some friends of mine are opening them up around the state. The problem is that I don't see how they will get that much business. 1. There aren't that many tourists that will use them - especially in Dallas & Houston. 2. Even when located across from college campuses, why would students PAY to use a computer when they can use the university's for free? 3. Hard core gamers. If they are university students, they'll just use those on campus. If they are real hard core gamers they'll prob have there own set up. Any opinions?
If they are selling coffee/food then they can probably do pretty good, they have to have something besides the internet to draw people in. It could work. Kinda similar to a washateria or car rental place, cheaper to use someone else's than to buy your own...
I heard that the ones in San Francisco do a good business. My brother used to go there all the time, but has since bought himself a computer.
There's people who can't afford buying their own computers, away from their computers/home, and are not students who need to occasionally use cyber cafes to go online. Beside, would multiplayer games be faster if they're not played via Internet but LANs, the ones cyber cafes can employ?
