Extracted from an article by Michael Murphy writing for the Houston Chronicle :

"With Dream (Olajuwon) being out right now, it helps us and hurts us at the same time," Mobley said. "We need that low-post (presence) sometimes, but it helps us because we can fast-break more, and it opens things up a lot more."

Is it me or does he sound like he's trying to be diplomatic? It's like "we're doing really well without him, but we could use him.. umm... down low". With the offense we're getting, we don't need as much from Hakeem. We have Cato for the intimidator... play on Cat, play on!

    Acebe,

You noticed the word I noticed... I'm sure some of these guys are ecstatic that the offense doesn't always begin at the post, then go around the world.

If ya strecth it a bit, Cat is actually saying we don't quite need Dream to win, as he only pointed out the sole use of Dream: a low post presence, but we have that in CB and Cato and Kenny will eventually be a low post presence.

I think Dream is still able to be dominant, his offense is great when he is on, the difference is, he is not the keel of the Rockets any more, the Rocks will keep sailing without him, and he should play a complementary role from now on.

Hey! What do you expect our second-round pick to say about the superstar canter, the future hall of famer? Do you like him saying "We are at our best right now without Hakeem. So let him retire early." If so, Cuttino is no Cuttino. You know, this kid is very diplomatic. [IMG]
