Cuttino had another great night shooting and he passed the ball well too. He even passed to Shandon (directed to BobFinn*). Ever since he had started he has been averaging about 22 points and 7 rebounds. When he plays under control like he did tonight the Rockets will be unstoppable.

And now what is up with Taylor and his fast starts? This guy is shooting over 50% and his improved his rebounding. And one other thing I think he is doing well is playing defense. Just watch him the next game and see how he gives up his body for the charge and also a few block shots that he gets. Also watch how he moves his feet as well. I think he is a keeper if you ask me. I want to hear from the mo haters now.

I have found myself hoping the Rockets keep Taylor, too. The guy impresses me more every game. We need to keep him and give up all our draft choices and expendable players to move up and take a rebounding center in the draft.

Couldn't agree more with both statements. If Cat plays under control and shoots well, he doesn't worry about how many points he scores so he is more likely to rack up the assists. With him scoring and passing the Rocks are unstoppable.
Mo couldn't be playing any better right now. He is rebouding and shooting great. I just can't under stand how he scores like 14 points in the 1st quarter and then gets lost in the offense. I think it is because Stevie and Cat take over after the 1st. One other thing, non of Mobes assists last night were to Franchise.

I really like Mo Taylor. Alot of people say he lacks a post up game, but I'll take his face the basket game anyday. He is one of the more talented big men around, has maybe the best midrange shot on the team, and has the body to bang(6'9, 260). I really like the core of this team, and hope they dont just throw away the role players to land a big free agent. All they need is one or 2 more pieces, not another cornerstone.Let's not forget we haven't even seen the complete youth movement, with Cato out. I realize alot of people dont like him, but he would without a doubt make the rockets a better team. If Cato can rebound and play good D, the rockets will be a contender. For those that wanted to trade Kelvin, tell me this. Are you content with Jason Collier being the center of the future? Because I sure as hell am not.

Now I'm a big MO supporter but

I wouldn't say that he's "rebounding great". His rebounding is improving, but he still has games where he gets 4 or 5 boards. Against Charlotte, he got 5 & against Vancouver, he got only 3. He's gettin better, but he's not consistent yet.

As far as keeping Taylor, I would have to approve. He just fits in perfect with this offense with his extended range, dribbling ability, and ability to finish around the basket. If no Webber, then Taylor would still be great.

    Taylor needs improvement.

And If we're going to base Taylors contract on anything. It's going to have to be based on Mobley's recent signing.

But Taylor is a keeper. However, muscle is needed in the low post.

Maurice has come a looooooong way. I'm most impressed with his 1st quarter spark and his willingness to take the charge. Clip fans were so "snippy" about how Taylor was a waste of cap and had a poor work ethic when we signed him, but I would love to have Mo next year.

Mo has improved vastly. He has carved a niche in this guard-oriented offense.

IMO he should be our future center, especially if we luck out in a trade. His outside shot opens the lanes for Cat and Steve. That's using his strength and weakness at the same time: leave the rebounding for whomever we bring onto the team (whether it's a center, power forward, or a draft pick [Terence Morris]).

Mo has improved, but if we get CWebb, then Mo must Go!
