Come come, since you're a citizen of bizzaro world, riddle me this; how are gay parents more of a threat to children than not providing them well, food, parents, or protection from child abuse? I'm genuinely curious. It's obvious I won't go very far with you on economic arguments (THE CBO WAS WRONG ONCE, so based on my in-depth economic acuity, they are ALWAYS wrong---I'm not even going to bother to get into you about debt dynamics, and economic models of optimal policy responses to exogenous events), so let's just focus on that moral problem.

First of all, the problem isn't really even a problem. The mechanics of American debt are hard to describe, but suffice it to say that at the moment, with current debt levels, America is nowhere near the danger zone. Supposing it is however, how do you imagine we would solve the debt problem? By cutting all entitlement programs at once? Yet you ignore a potential solution, because what, it might not contribute enough? I suppose starving low-income children and denying them child protection or foster care might though. That will save trillions!
Northside, America needs to cut spending EVERYWHERE!!! Military, entitlements, bloated government, etc.... The "mechanics" of American debt are near the danger zone. The ONLY reason we have not fallen yet is that the US dollar is the reserve currency of the world. The further we go in debt, the closer we get to losing the dollar as the reserve currency. When that happens, we are SCREWED. When(not if) that happens, who will be hurt most????? Answer, the people who have become dependent on the government for everything through the Democrat policy of buying votes through entitlements. I would like to see the entire economy grow so EVERYONE can have a job. Letting gays marry each other and taxing rich people will not do the trick.
I think we should let gays get married but, in return, they have to murder a wealthy Wall Street executive with a chainsaw. That way, everybody wins! GO USA!
...anyways, how does gay marriage not fit into your narrative? It is a set of one of the solutions that reduces government spending. It creates jobs through expanding the wedding industry, one of the only industries that actually produces output, happiness, and not too much damage to anything other than the reputation of whoever happen to be "that drunk." I am beginning to think this is not a logical position you hold, but rather one entrenched by years of irrational conditioning.
Don't forget the fact that Treasuries are the default risk-free security for all of the finance world!

I know several of them and like them all. I am very close friends with one lesbian. To tell you the truth, we have NEVER discussed her preferences and probably never will unless she brings them up. I am however a Christian and know that gay marriage is wrong. I practice the policy of loving the sinner and hating the sin. I am a sinner myself and thus have no right to judge anyone but if I am given the choice I would vote against gay marriage EVERY time because the BIBLE says it is wrong.
