Curry and Kerr fined $25 k... if it was anyone else... let's say Dwight... would there have been a suspension for the mouth guard being thrown?
He threw a mouthpiece that weighs a few ounces after fouling out on a BS call in Game 6 of the Finals... but it did hit a fan. Had he pulled a Bob Knight and thrown a chair and it hit a fan then you suspend him. They should not suspend any player for a game 7 of the Finals unless there is an injury, physical contact, threats or something more serious. It was just a mouthpiece and it was in the heat of the moment. He didn't aim for the guy and he apologized before walking off the court. Had it been anyone else but Curry I think the punishment is still the same. It was nice to see Curry flopping and b****ing all over the floor all game and then foul out, get ejected and then his team lose. I can't stand the stuff he gets away with.
I agree with everything you said except for calling the last foul a BS call - regardless if it was during the Finals or not. That was clearly a foul, and a player that is worth that much to his team with five fouls should be a lot smarter than that. Perhaps he is used to getting away with a lot of calls? Not sure.
Hitting a ref with the mouthpiece = suspension. Hitting a fan by accident- 25K Fine. I remember Aaron Brooks got the same fine as well as Kanter for this same thing.
Yeah, nothing funny or out of whack here. Could have fined Kerr more, maybe, but that was in line with other fines as well. He's not a repeat offender in this respect, and neither is Curry actually.
I actually agree with you there. The last *two* calls were nothing to complain about, especially the fifth one, where he made contact with Irving's chest on the ridiculous cross-body reach. He was just really frustrated after getting totally abused by Lerbon.
Curry is not a dirty player nor is Thompson. It's not their fault Green and Bogut get away with murder on their behalfs.
Looked like a pretty clean strip. Sure, hand/arm touched the body after the ball was out, but it looked pretty clean. I can see how it was called a foul, but it could have been a no call.
good non suspension imo doesn't deserve one as much as I hate Curry. It's just a mouth piece after all
the fans high fiving curry pissed me off. if it's my team and i got to try and help, i would have made a scene and refused his shake and even try to elevate the situation more. i'm talking malice in the palace ****. it would have been worth it. that fan will forever regret his decision when his team gets eliminated by whiny, entitled, little b**** curry.
it's super disgusting!!! didn't his fine piece of ass mother teach him any manners. if you can't keep it in your mouth then don't wear it all.
Should have been a suspension. Even Curry knew the severity of what he just did, that's we he apologized immediately, and during the heat of the moment. What if it was a kid? What if it hit his eye? No way in hell would the league suspend the face of the league though.
Assaulting a fan would be a suspension for pretty much anyone else, but they've always protected the Warriors so it's not surprising that they get away with it.
