I don't know if my AC in my apartment is out or if its just that hot outside right now. My AC has been running all day and my apartment is still really hot. I mailed a repair ticket to the complex to have someone check out my AC tomorrow. Maybe the 101* weather today blew out the unit or something, I'm dying over here.
Yeah, definitely has to be an A/C problem.... I had one earlier, it had to do with a part in the outside machine thing that was like a can and under neath it it had created too much heat inside of the can and it popped or something, I had it replaced... but it was really 84-85 degrees in my house for that whole day.
I'm guessing your AC is having problems.... I just looked and it's about 84-85 degrees in Houston. Put your hand over the vent and just see if you're getting any cool air.
Man, we had our drought 2 or 3 years ago. I don't want to revisit that summer. I was afraid my foundation would explode.
In many ways, yes... but in other ways, it's dandy. Hell may be Phoenix. It's 98 there right now. Jesus.
Takes me back to my last two years at U of H, staying at Cougar Place and just boiling, even with that Motel 6 wall AC blowing at full blast. Or riding the bus to a job interview, and then walking to the building in a full suit, then excusing myself to the bathroom so I could wipe off my sharecropper's sweat. Now that I'm in Omaha, would I prefer that over scraping ice off of my windshield for 15 minutes every morning (and after work in the company parking lot) from December to April? Or watching my life flash before my eyes every time I take a sharp turn in a snow storm? Or getting stuck in the snow on a green light at a busy intersection? Heck to the no.
My dad and I used to run around in his '74 Impala with no AC... you'll get no sympathy from me. I remember I used to ride my bike to my cousin's house 11 miles to play basketball. It was 95-97 degrees outside and I was about 20-23 years old. I'd probably die of heatstroke now just going out to get the mail. Those were the days...
