Would you? --- Way to reiterate what everyone else is saying about this joke of a league and somehow turn this into advertisement that is supposed to draw people and make them more money? Is this some sort of new breed, reverse psychology marketing strategy? Talk about uncreative. People need to get fired.
I had to re-read those ads on nba.com. I'm pretty sure many people including myself were in agreement with those statements and will continue NOT watching the WNBA. It just reinforces all those stereotypes.
They should have a good high school team vs wnba team. I would actually watch to see how it turns out.
I think the WNBA is a joke. The only thing keeping it alive is that the NBA brass has decreed it will stay alive. Without the NBA propping it up, the WNBA would have crashed and burned years ago. They probably shouldn't have used the phrase "joke" in their marketing campaign.
They should allow one male player to play at a random time during each game for each team. To add some fun to it.

For those of you who don't know or haven't had the opportunity (and consider yourself lucky), nothing is worse than a bunch of WNBA fan lesbians talking crap about the NBA. That's the funny thing here. A lot of WNBA fans would never pay to go to a NBA game. Why pay 50 bucks to sit in the upper bowl and watch the boys play when you can sit on the floor for 15 and root for the girls? Truth is, few women like sports like men do. They'll watch Big Brother and Top Runway all day, but forget about sports. And if beach friggin volleyball can't become a prime time sport, what makes anyone think men are going to pay to watch women play basketball?
I think that the only women's sports that a lot of men watch are Olympic sports DURING the Olympics and occasionally women's tennis.
I'd watch women mud wrestling. If the WNBA had more hot women bouncing more than just one basketball, we'd have more male viewers.
They could have the best compaign ever and the people that are not watching now still wouldn't watch. I will be watching Candace Parker though girl is sexy as hell. For sports commercial advertisement = overrated
