Where will the following players spend a majority of their time on the court? <UL> [*]Rogers [*]Langhi [*]Bullard [*]Collier [/list] I was looking at our PFs, and we have Thomas, Bullard, Rogers and Langhi(?). Or does Langhi spend most of his time backing up Walt at the 3? If so, does that eat into Shandon's minutes? Does Rogers see any time barring injuries? Is Collier strictly a backup center, or can he play the 4 too? Obviously, there could be more roster moves in the offing, but I'm not so sure our team changes much more this year. If that's the case, we've got a lot of 4's. Not to mention Pig, who looks to be shut out without more transactions. ------------------ Bad spellers of the world: UNTIE!
Collier will be our 3rd center behind Dream and Cato. If we get a legit power forward, Rogers and Thomas will back himup. If not Thomas or Rogers will start at the PF slot. Langhi and will back up Walt (Bull will spend most of his time on the bench or I.R) ------------------ President of the Sir Charles Barkley Fan Club
Collier should be able to play the 4, since he has a J with range. He also is supposed to have good lateral quickness for a man his size. KT should start at the 4. Collier and Rogers should battle it out for back up minutes. When Dream get hurts next year, Collier should play more 5 than 4 then. Collier should see plenty of minutes next year. ------------------
If Bullard, Rogers and Collier spend much of their time on the court, our season will not be going very well. Langhi should see some legit backup minutes, even if it is at the expense of Shandon Anderson. I would actually rather see Williams gone and Anderson, LAnghi and Bullard share the 3. Collier was supposed to be a 4 when we drafted him, but after watching him in the Rocky Mountain Review, he is slooooooooooooow and not very nimble. I think long term he's going to be a backup center along the Michael Doleac lines. j ------------------
I'm not sure if this is right, but regarding Colliers performance in the RMR, he had a back injury, nothing major, but a little bit niggling - that would affect his quickness and his overall performance. I'm willing to give him a chance to see how he performs in the real season. Rudy and Les said he had good enough quickness to play PF - they're the ones who worked him out and drafted him, so if they think he can play there then I'll believe them!! On another note, if we are to acquire a quality PF, it'll need to be done through a trade - I would envision giving up either Thomas or Rogers as part of that trade - thus not so much of a logjam at PF. ------------------
Bullard will not be on the Roster. Shandon is our starting 2 guard. Collier will back up KT or Rogers. Langhi will back up Wiz. Don't be surprised if Rogers beats out KT for the starting spot at the 4. ------------------ "Your not a real member of CC.net unless you have 1000 posts"
So the Rockets have Bullard signed for this year and won't include him on the roster?? Do you mean that he'll be on IR, or they have no use for someone who hits 45% of his 3-pt attempts and would rather pay him not to play? ------------------ Bad spellers of the world: UNTIE!
I say be real surprised. Rogers has no consistent J and plays worse matadorian D than KT. His role on the team will be the Energizer Bunny off the bench, which he can do exceptionally well. ------------------
