First to 4 votes wins! Anyone is welcome to vote, but please break it down. You can use this scheme: Frontcourt (who has better SF-PF-C) Backcourt (who has better guard combo) Bench Offense Defense Chemistry (which team's players fit on the court better) Or just give main reasons why you think one team will win. If there's no explanation, the vote won't count. QazQay pg: Chris Paul sg: Monta Ellis sf: Danilo Gallinari pf: Serge Ibaka c: Chris Bosh Bench g: Isaiah Thomas f: Shawn Marion c: Brendan Haywood jvu C Marc Gasol F Ersan Ilyasova F Kevin Durant G Paul George G Steve Nash Bench F Kenneth faried G thabo Selasho G Jeremy Lin
Make sure to name the overall winner, too, just to be sure. Sometimes winning categories doesn't mean winning a 7 game series. For instance, maybe someone lost on most categories by a little, but has an amazing defense and still wins.
Frontcourt: JVU - Even without KD Qaz lacks a true center Backcourt: Qaz - Great scoring backcourt, Monta got drafted way to late Bench: JVU Offense: Tie - would be Qaz as he has scorers up and down the roster, but I think KD is good enough to bring Jvu within a tie Defense: Qaz - if anyone could slow down KD it would probably be Shawn Marion of the bench. Bosh-Gasol is a mismatch in Jvu's favor, but Ibaka should shut down Ilyasova and protect the paint. I don't think Paul George could keep up with Monta either. Chemistry: Jvu - Both Paul and Nash are good at running the show, but I think the Nash-KD combo will be unstoppable. Winner - QazQay in 7: More solid of a roster, and if Marion is able to slow down KD there isn't much offense outside of him.
FC:JVU Durant >>> Gallinari Gasol>Bosh Ilyasova<<Ibaka BC:Qaz CP3 is arguably best PG in the league. Monta Ellis is one of the best scoring 2 guard in the league. Nash isnt as good as Paul. I do like George over Ellis though. Paul takes it though. Bench:JVU His bench is full of starters. Qaz has a bench of actual bench players. Offense: Jvu Close call on first glance. I give it to Jvu. Durant and Ilyasova are offensive machines. Nash running it makes it that much sweeter. Lin off the bench = cherry on top. Defense: Qaz Ibaka, CP3 are the on top defensively at their position. Marion and Haywood off the bench seal the deal Chemistry:Jvu This team is put together very well. Gasol bangs down low, Ilyasova plays high post/3 pt stretcher,, Durant shoots from anywhere on the court, George is your cutter, and Nash is the conductor! Winner: JVU
i'll keep it short frontcourt - jvu. Durant. Big combos seem comparable. backcourt - Qaz. I like Nash-George fit, but Qaz wins this on overall talent. bench - Qaz. I'd say jvu's bench has a bit more talent, but I like a lot how Qaz's bench is built and complements his starters. Isaiah is great. Elite D and very efficient offense, very little to dislike. I'd take Marion over Thabo overall. Haywood is ok, but average. Faried is a beast, but he plays no defense, which to me is a problem because when Gasol sits down, jvu's team goes from solid defensively to bad. offense - jvu. I like this offense a lot. defense - Qaz, slightly. Starting lineups seem comparable, but Qaz has much more D off the bench. chemistry - jvu. Overall, jvu. I think Gasol will be amazing in this series with all that space. Gasol inside with 4 amazing shooters and great playmaking... that's hard to beat.
