Here are some fairly recent shows which I find to be top notch. What are yours?

    GARTH MARENGHI'S DARKPLACE

    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Tom Goes to the Mayor(the epidsode with John C. Reilly was absolutely hilarious.)

Right now all I watch is recorded Miami Vice from Sleuth channel.

There was a good show about Einstein last night on PBS though.

    Rescue Me
    Entourage
    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Prison Break (since it starts Monday!)

We're catching up on Lost. We're 8 episodes away from the season 1 finale and the second season comes out on DVD on the 5th of September.

The only network TV I watch is what my friend buys on DVD, so I'm always a season behind. House and Lost were cool, and he just got Prison Break, so we'll probably be starting that soon.

It will be back in the fall. They aren't going to do a split season with it like the Stargates.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Thanks to someone on this bbs who mentioned it) I didnt know they allowed so much profanity on basic cable.
    Weeds

Besides The Colbert Report and The Daily Show, I think that is all.

I know I mentioned it in the OP but GARTH MARENGHI'S DARKPLACE is absolutely hilarious. I think it comes on the Sci-Fi channel. I can not encourage watching that one enough.

I will say its humor may not be for everyone, but I believe enough folks on this board will like it.

    Rockstar Supernova

This show is an absolute TRAINWRECK, which of course is exactly why I watch it. Well, that and Brook Burkes boobie's and hiney. All the singers blow. They all look like American Idol contestants that had a "rocker" makeover, complete with black fingernails, hair-dye, and wallet chains.

    I love this show.

The rest of the time, I watch Season 4 of 24 thanks to Netflix. Also, Season 2 of The Sopranos. I have to get caught up on these shows so I can be 'with it'. :)

I haven't watched much TV lately but I did just get through watching the first season of Lost. Does anyone have a link to the season on of Lost thread? Search is dead and I couldn't find it anyway. AND I KNOW NOTHING OF SEASON TWO SO PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR ME. The DVD's come out Sept 5th and I can't wait.

I agree with all of these, although Prison Break seems to draaaag quite a bit with their plots. I mean, how many times last season were they supposed to break out that episode?

While I still watch Lost, it has gotten to the point of ludicrousy. There's just no way that much can be answered, and it seems like stuff is simply forgooten. Finish up Season 2, and see if you agree.

I'll add Nip/Tuck, since it begins right after Rescue Me wraps up. But season 4 better be a hell of a lot better than season 3, or I'm out.

    And the Office kicks ass.
