    Steve Francis' game last night.

if anyone who has an ear to the Chinese culture and the many fans of Yao Ming's across the pacific, I'm just wondering if anyone over there is talking about the amazing little guard.

    or the press over there?

    windandsea? anyone?

yeah.. great game by Steve. Many of the Chinese fans in China are saying that he is better than Allen Iverson now..

It amazing how many times the Rox had success with the last second 3 point shot by Steve Francis. I have seen that play 3 times already and it worked every time... pretty exciting...

I hear ya. This absolutely boggles my mind. Maybe I should start some kind of play scouting company that helps recognize what play is likely to be run when. Because, if they have some out there already, they certainly aren't doing their job.

Wait, why hurt the Rockets? If these teams are too dumb to do some scouting on their own, why help them.

    Regarding the Iverson comparison...

The big advantage that Steve has is (well
    two really)....

Steve is tall enough to shoot over the shorter
guards like Fisher and Lue -- two Lakers
    that gave Iverson trouble.

Steve is short enough, but now too short,
that he's fast enough to drive past taller guards
    like Kobe, McGrady, Allen

Many Chinese think that SF is a bigger Iverson or an
Iverson with much better passing ability.

Don't you forget that Chinese emphasis the TEAM concept? So they would say this is a big Rockets win, not Steve Francis's game.

    :p

I talked to my friends back in China.

Well, their reactions are not so jubilant.

After the promising start, 2nd, 3rd -qtrs are rather disappointing. But then again, most of them were not wildly optimistic prior the game.

This may not be the typical observation: a few of guys commented on Yao's stamina. His fatigue is quite visible towards end of the game.

One thing for sure: this game converted a lot of them to Rockets fan.
