    Pitching probables

9/26 Clement vs. Fogg ***2:20pm MLB-TV (its free this month)
    9/27 Prior vs. Vogelsong ***3:05pm
    9/28 Wood vs. K. Wells ***1:20pm WGN

No predictions here... don't want to jinx anything. BUT, the best chance for the Cubs to lose is game 1. If not, expect Sunday to be a truly magical day (I'm giving them Saturday... Prior's too good).

Regardless... Astros control their own destiny... cause if they win out, they'd be the HEAVY favorites with Oswalt on the mound in Wrigley vs. S. Estes/J.Cruz/Zambrano on three days rest (and he's been rocked his last two starts anyways).

Make this a sticky... its Pennant Fever!!!!

Dusty is obviously reading my posts on the board...

Decided to flip-flop Clement and Prior. Prior will go tommorow & Clement on Friday.

Probably a good move, since the first game of a series normally sets the tone... and Prior then could possibly be available for a few innings on Monday if there is a playoff.

well the Cubbies lost game 1 like we all thought they would..

    Prior should dominate game 2

I hope Woods gets rocked on Saturday..that game is our chance to win it outright!

    go Bucs!

Kip Wells has been pitching excellent. He can shut them down on Sunday.

    Correction

Marl Prior (Cubs) is going against Josh Fogg (Buccos) in game 1 today, Friday not Matt Clement.

It is going to be an intriguing weekend. The cubs Vs Bucs game is like to end before ours start. I hope the bucs surprise the Cubs at home and still one. Fogg is pissed from being shelled last time out against the Cubs - I bet he is looking to redeem himself.

The Buccos are very dangerous - I consider them more dangerous than the Brewers. The Bucs give both us and the Cubs a lot of grief. I hope it continues this weekend. The Cubs need to score early to allow them breath easy and not choke. Prior has shown a little bit of a slow down resently - not much. But is always a tough customer for all comers. The Cubs can sometimes be mysterious - they can really of 3 straight shot-out games and also play 3 horrible ones too. The key is getting to their bull pen. They have depth on the bench. I am hoping that the Bucs shock them.

Coach Lloyd of the Pirates systematically told his young lads that they are essentially playing for next season - so that are apparently using that as a motivation and letting it all hang out. They enjoy the spoiler role. Jason Kendall absolutely crushes Mark Prior - I hope for more of it today. I hope Mr. Bay does some more of his magic today. Also Wilson is a banger. I have faith in the Buccos. Now I hope we can take care of the Brew Crew here at home.

    Go 'Stros

I think the Bucs can win one in Wrigley...I would rather have the one game playoff vs. anything else...I don't understand how, if it happens, why it would be in Wrigley...Tie breaker?

    Go Stros!!!

Home field for the 1 game playoff for every single possible scenario that could occur was determined by a coin flip

I think its raining there... can only be good for us, since once the game gets going, there's always a chance it could be paused again, and the pitchers might be forced out of the game.

Or, better yet... get rained out tonight, be forced to play 2 tommorow... and get that pitching staff burned out with one less day in the season.

Of course, that wonlt happen... they will be playing today even if they have to start at 10pm.

we'll i got my time wrong. the game was supposed to start at 2:20.

Anyway.. if it's raining it can only hurt the team. Either they play in terrible conditions. Or they'll play a double header and usually you'll lose 1 of those.

The other day we had to watch Morgan Ensberg make Julio Lugo type errors in that terrible weather i believe in colorado. Imagine Aramis Ramirez over there, i mean is there anyone out there who is a worse defensive 3rd baseman?

I just hope they start soon enough so that they finish before the 'Stros game. Last night was damn stressful for everyone (even when the Reds had taken the lead...), and you could tell this team relaxed a little after the Cubs game went final.

My sources tell me that the forecast has it raining all day tomorrow, too. Could they possibly play a tripleheader on Sunday?
