I don't see it talked about much here. I've become obsessed with the show over the past 6 months, even going as far as obtaining the first season and watching it over the past week or so. Moving on to season 2 probably in a week or so, but damn, This show is addicting. Plus it's got a b****in' theme song "Obtaining? We'll see about that." (cue "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH")
For some reason, just looking at David Caruso makes me want to kill puppies. I think, were it not for that, I might really enjoy this show. I only recently started watching the original CSI, and I'm so hooked on that show it's ridiculous. I do like Gary Sinise, though, so I think I'll start watching the CSI: New York soon.
I like CSI: Miami. But their cast is hit or miss in my eyes. Love Horatio and Calleigh. Those two are great. Delco is a stiff and I want to punch Wolf in the face. I try to forget those two when I watch the show. And the coranor talking to the dead bodies? Dont get me started! But in general it is pretty good. I think when talking about CSI: Miami you either like it or hate it depending on what your feelings towards Caruso are. I like Caruso but a lot of people hate him. Of course I guess a lot of people have to like him too considering CSI: Miami is a top 5 show. Nothing though beats the original CSI:Las Vegas. They have the best cast and have a nice comraderie between the cast that you dont see on the other CSI shows. Plus the dark humor in CSI: LV puts it over the top.
I watch the original CSI on Spike TV. I don't watch the others. The acting on the original CSI is hilarious.
I agree. Every part in that show is cast perfectly. I love the give and takes that Grissom has with the older coroner guy. That one scene when Grissom came in during an autopsy and said, "Okay, tell me something I don't know." "Alright, I dropped out of karate when I was in 4th grade because a kid half my size made me cry." Then the look from Grissom. I swear, that guy gets more laughs out of me just from his looks than any other character in TV. It's great. Unfortunately, I think I may have seen all the episodes that Spike TV has in syndication now, because I am seeing nothing but repeats during their schedule. Great show.
You guys are forgetting the brilliant awfulness of Caruso in CSI:Miami, it's like William Shatner combined with Rod Serling. Totally awesomely bad.
The wife loves all three CSI's, but I could never really get into them much. I will watch them and for the most part they are pretty good, overall probably CSI: NY is the one I enjoy the most, with Miami being the least liked of the three.
CSI: - Grissom rocks, supporting cast rocks almost as much. This is definitely my favorite of the three. CSI: Miami - Caruso I could live without. The rest of the cast rocks about the same as the CSI: cast CSI: New York - I freaking love Gary Senise. The rest of the cast I haven't warmed up to yet... I'm not that much of a NY fan, but I'd probably watch it instead of Miami if given the choice.
I just saw the ep where Speedle dies.... I knew it was coming, since it was an old ep. I just had never seen it yet.
I like Grissom also. Pencil-neck Caruso looks like ET. Can't stand how he acts so tough ... he could easily snap in two (yet, that's a scary proposition...2 Carusos).
i occasionally watch it after raymond and two and a half men and generally like it a lot when i do. i'm not sure if i'll ever be a regular viewer though. and i have no problem with caruso like apparently a lot of people do. does this come from something else or just this show b/c i don't really remember watching anything else with him in it. i have never watched the original CSI though outside of a few minutes here and there. nothing else really comes on thursday's now with friends gone, scrubs on tuesday, and ER having fallen off my radar. maybe i should take it up when tnt doesn't have any good games. considering it's ratings it must be pretty interesting and addicting.
i dont know the difference between the three(CSI, CSI:MIami, and CSI:NY) but I just saw my first episode from the franchise last week... what a crazy episode, there were some people dressing up in Plush toys and having orgies together at a fetish convention... one "animal" puts Ipecac syrup on the back of a "female animal" to mark his terrotory, also to make his rival sick when the rival would rub up against the female. the rivals girlfriend accuses the rival of drinking again and jumps in her car and leaves. she kicks out the rival, who is still dressed in his animal suit, he is left throwing up on the side of the road. next sequence, the girl turns her car around and gets plowed by an 18 wheeler, the man in the animal suit gets shot from above, it turns out a guy thought it was a wild coyote and left him for dead... what were the writers of THAT episode smoking? did anyone see this one??
sorry to bump up such an old thread...but this is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YMOlQX6l5dg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YMOlQX6l5dg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I like CSI and CSI Miami. I'm lukewarm for CSI NY even though I really like Gary Sinise. CSI Miami is great because the chicks are all so hot and always in bikinis. And Calleigh was in that move Breast Men with David Schwimmer and got to see her goodies. Woot.
I totally think of Shatner too everytime I see Caruso in dramatic scenes. The badness of it actually makes it more entertaining. I'm also parital to the show because I miss south Florida. Yeah, most of the show is filmed in California, but the style and the scenery capture the South Beach vibe pretty well.
