It was funny until he handed it out in front of everyone. DAMN. That's harsh. Talk about forcing your morality on others.

Special Ed teacher no less. There's a chance this kid is mentally or physically handicapped. What a tool.

Something tells me that this kid won't be doing any superhuman tricks by pulling the short bus up a hill by a rope

it would be pretty funny if it was a pro coach doing it to one of his players at the awards banquet..

God forbid, a kid on a team should want to actually play. God forbid a 13 year old should lack the social skills to lobby a coach for PT without coming across as a whiner.

I'm not one of those uber PC people who thinks that you should never correct or criticise a child, because thier little self esteems are so fragile, but to do it at the end of a year banquet, when the kid was expecting some kudos...very poor taste.

The coach claimed he got such an award when he was a kid and it was a positive experience. Sic an investigative journalist on this puppy.

it's all Tobey McGuire's fault. If he hadn't invaded Pleasantville none of this would have happened.. he turned that innocent town to crap. :)

The only thing sicker than the parents complaining about this is the waste-of-DNA Coach who felt insecure enough to hand this thing out to a kid who just got underarm hair.

It is a disgrace. And there is NOTHING funny about it. If I was in the audience, even if it wasnt my own kid I probably would have punched out that coach. He should be fired immediately. I can't remember the last time I read something so discraceful.
