After 21 years, I'm going to fix my front tooth. Since it needs to match the tooth next to it, I'm taking care of both. The dentist suggested veneers, because I would keep most of the 2 front teeth. However, with Crowns I can remove the old filling (including this screw that's holding it there). These are my front 2 top teeth. It's only 1 tooth that has the problem. It just needs to match consistently. They're 1k a pop, so I want to make the right choice. They claim that the cost is the same and that they would look the same, so it would seem like veneers would be better, but I could swear that after this Zoom treatment, I can taste metallic from the screw. What do you recommend/prefer?
I recommend veneers...you save tooth structure that way. No need to drill away healthy tooth for the sake of a crown.
