    I guess that's why they're criminals.

I can't believe the Pearland carjacker who was arrested on Monday is the same guy who carjacked Susana DeJesus. That's just brilliant. Same area. Same crime. Luck ran out.

I don't know how the police got him to talk. Maybe the guy isn't so dumb. He sold out his accomplices to possibly save himself from the death penalty.

    Smokey -

    Listen to this:

Dumb Criminals are dumb, and are usually caught immediately.

Smart Criminals are smart, and are never caught or are captured or investigated way down the road, like a year to over 30 years after they have committed the crime.

    This guy is just dumb.

    I agree.

Whoever said "crime doesn't pay" was wrong.

Crime does pay. If it didn't, there wouldn't be any crime.

It's the dumb criminals who are caught and I'm glad that this guy was.

The smarter ones work at financial institutions and in government.

Too long to copy and paste.

It's really sad if that body turns out to be her. Random or not? I guess we'll know soon. It did say that he wanted her car but i don't understand why he would kill her. Just take the damn car and leave.

NEVER GET IN A CAR EVEN THOUGH IF HE HAS A GUN. I may be saying this but who knows what state of mind I would be in and not thinking clearly.

What's stupid here is the carjacking wasn't reported until a hour or two later. Her co-worker was scared to report it. Seriously??

There was a lot of strange stuff going on in this story.

    1) Her co worker didn't report her being kidnapped an hour to two hours after the fact.
    2) She made 2 phone calls while she was kidnapped.
    3) Her family or friends found out where her car was from onstar and didn't notify police until it was too late. (they said they saw a black man walk out of her car)

Anyways RIP. Sad story and I use to work 2 minutes away from her. That Pearland/Silverlake area is becoming GHETTO!

A body found on Houston's south side after a carjacking suspect led police to the site has been confirmed as that of Susana De Jesus, who was abducted from a Pearland-area shopping center last month and driven away in her own car.

    RIP

I don't buy that it was just "greed." The facts don't add up. If it was just greed, then that's pretty terrifying. Either way, it's pretty horrific and really sad. The carjacker was caught in my neighborhood.

I forgot about the phone calls. The first phone call could have been under duress when she said she was going to be late. But the second phone, when she asked about the On-Star, led people to believe she may have known her attacker or had been involved in her disappearance. I don't know why she didn't just dial 911 even if she couldn't talk.

I’m not much into conspiracy theories but this is just one really strange case.

    1. If he just wanted her car, why didn’t he just grab her keys and take off like he tried to do on Monday with that other guy? Why did he take her too? Most carjackers don’t want to mess with anyone once they get the car.
    2. Why in the world was that chick “afraid” to call the police when she just saw her friend get abducted at gunpoint?? Why did she wait for HOURS before she called?
    3. The 2 phone calls are really strange. Apparently, when she called her sister to say she would be late, she wasn’t acting strange enough to arouse any suspicion. If the call was under duress, you would think the sister would have at least noticed something different about her voice or her tone, etc. I know I would have if it were my sister. Why was she apparently so calm?

    1. Either he wanted to delay the reporting of the theft, or he likes killing people. He tried to kidnap the other guy too.

    2. No clue.

    3. I would think both calls were at gunpoint. The guy was probably concerned that the cops would be able to locate the car through the OnStar, but didn't know if they would if the subscription wasn't paid. So, he made her ask someone. When the lady was calling, she probably tried her best to sound normal to not anger her kidnapper. She may have also assumed that the cops were already called, since there was a witness to her kidnapping.

I'd bet the kidnapping was also so they could use their ATM cards, etc.

These people didn't give a rat's ass about killing someone. Probably figured they were getting rid of their witness.
