Im looking for a credit card with the best incentive to use for purchasing. I see some with 5% cash back, air miles, car points and even 1% investment opportunites. What is the best credit card incentive have you seen and where can I find it? I don't want those 5% cash back scams that only allow you to purchase from specific retailers...unless it truly allows you 5% anywhere. Not intrested in cars as I tend to keep my automobile for a long period of time, and usually, you can find a much better deal else where than using car points or whatever they are. No Sky miles. I don't fly much The investment return is the best one i seen so far, but I can't remember the website. Also, intrest rate doesn't matter as I pay it off bi monthly. No monthly fee, as that would totally defeat the purpose. Any suggestions?
I found a card that contributes 2% of your purchases to a college savings 529 plan. No annual fee. -- droxford
I use a Phillips 66 MC. It applies 2% of purchases at their stations and 1% of purchases everywhere else towards gas. It is nice because you do not have to redeem anything. It just takes it off of your bill each month. I have seen Shell has a similar plan but uses 5% and 1%.
Check out the Chase Perfectcard (Mastercard). I get 1% back on all purchases and 3% (6% the first 90 days) back on gas purchases at any gas station. There're no tiers, nothing that says you have to spend "X" amount before you can get the percentage back. Rebates are automatically credited to future purchases. Also check out the Stockback card. My Perfectcard used to be a Stockback card, but I guess Chase and Stockback split up. Stockback will issue the card under someone else soon though. The card is great if you make a lot of online purchases from the retailers they're affiliated with.
