I'm in College Station Geez....it's pooring so hard outside! The Grass is covered in Hail and it keeps coming down. WOW. Looks like I came home just in time! I camped at Bryan lake for a couple of days until my buddies and I were kicked out so we wen't to Somerville Lake and stayed there a few more days. It was beautiful the whole time....until right now when I just walk into my house! So much lightning outside! DAMN! better shut this thing down.
The hail better not be coming over to the greenspoint area...my car is parked outside and is not covered
It just went ape-feces while I was at work an hour ago here in Austin. It even blew wrenches straight out of the shop. We closed the big doors but the wind was going so hard that it started to bend them. Then, of course, it started pouring rain. Only to stop as soon as I got home a few minutes ago. Perfectly sunny day again like it started out this morning...gotta love Austin.
I' m n Tomball visiting my in-laws, and there are some seriously black rainclouds with a lot of lightning coming our way. From the weather broadcasts, it sounds like it's raining at my house (inner loop). -- droxford
CRAP! This is coming our way. Freaking great! Another night where nobody will be out. St. Pat's ruined everyone's karma last night, as well.
I know we all rely on Clutch Fans for all the asnswer but some of them come a lot quicker if we just go to the site... www.weather.com Supposed to raid all night today and tomorrow apparently.
The rain has stopped here, and now there is a really neat lightning storm outside. The hail was intense for about 20min. The yard was all white with it, and it was coming down hard. I worried about my truck, eh the hail falling here was only like dime to nickle size. They are having twice that size in downtown Bryan.
It's all the new rage here at the BBS. Beautiful weather, crappy weather, any weather... They all deserve their own thread. As for my opinion of this storm, I'm tired, I'm in pain (rain and arthritis don't mix) and I sure as hell don't want to drive back to Austin in this crap. I'll just have to leave early in the morning.
it better not be raining tomorrow on my way back to austin. rain means wusses in front of me driving slow (and occasionally me being the wuss driving slow) and i hate that. i love getting out on the highway and putting it on cruise control at about 85 with a CD going. very relaxing.
I just drove up from Houston and between Huntsville and Houston around 8pm it was raining hard. I thought it was going to hail, but it didn't... whew.
