Rather than starting out sitting down and sliding into the steep part, you start standing up on a trap door that they pull out from underneath you. It drops you straight down, you know, so you can gather enough speed for the complete loop that it throws you through. I don't understand German, so I'm not sure exactly what they're saying in this, but I assume it has something to do with the dangerous amount of chlorine in the water to help balance out the pee that every single rider leaves behind."
Misleading thread title. I assumed the rider went through a series of tubes, was shot out into outer space, proceeds to re-enter the atmosphere and is caught by a series of tubes and then led to a pool of water.
those slides aren't all that scary imo. The half pipes are a lot more scary. That does look like fun.
You want to make it more interesting? Remove the underside at the top of the loop. gravity will keep one from falling through, but it would be cool to see it as you go by.
That loop is unique as far as I know, but there is a trap door slide in the US. I saw something about water parks on the travel channel. I don't remember where it is, but the only cool thing about the trap door slide here is that they don't tell you when the door will open, there's no countdown. It's up to the operator to let the tension mount for as long as they want.
