Craziest but Plausible Predictions for the Season!

    Just thought it might be interesting to have everyone post what they think is the craziest but potentially plausible prediction for the season. Doesn't mean it will come true....but it might ;)

    So know we will win 72 games kind of thing. Or anything like that.

    Ready - here's mine.

    We will trade Aaron Brooks for Steve Nash.

    The Rockets will pull off another 18-21 game winning streak.


    Yao Ming will somehow end up average over 24 mpg for the season and average a respectable 16 ppg - 18 ppg and 7 rebs - 9 rebs, up his numbers in the playoffs, and somehow not get injured at any point during the season or playoffs.

    Chase Budinger will be in contention for the Western All-Star small forwards.

    Kevin Martin will sneak into the all star game after a few all star injuries on other teams, while the Rockets only other selection will remain anonymous, yet too obvious as the starting center in the West and be one of the leading vote getters.


    There's going to be a nutty fan that runs out on the floor, during a game with Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, proclaiming that the Salt Lake City is about to be taking over by alien invaders and also professing his love for . . . Taylor Swift.

    That's a poor trade. Nash is even worse on defense. He's old enough to steeply decline at any moment (whereas Aaron is still improving), plays fewer minutes, has skills that are unnecessary in our system other than his shooting (which AB is great at) AND we lose one of our major trade assets in the process. I'm not sure if Nash is even an upgrade in terms of fit for our starting lineup THIS season, let alone next year. Maybe if we traded Scola for a star at PF who's great at finishing the pick and roll, and Morey went all in for this season, but I doubt that trade happens.

    My prediction:

    Rockets will win the championship!

    winning 72 games isn't possible? meh... i think it is. wouldn't have thought 22 in a row was possible either with that kind of team.


    my prediction...martin has the best season of his career in efficiency passing and defense, making the all star team, and helps the rockets to a 1st sead.

    I just think it will be a surprise guy so not Iggy, CP3, Carmelo, or Granger.

    Someone like Jason Richardson who is a FA on a Suns team that could tank......

    Not that I am advocating for him.

    I think Wallace is a real possibility.

    Tayshaun Prince! great defender, can shoot the three, athletic, and can finish. great, versatile player who i don't hear mentioned very often at all. this dude can play man. morey needs to jump on that.
