The Cowboys traded Reggie Swinton to the Greenbay Packers today for a conditional draft pick(believed to be a 7th round pick). Not really anything big but we pretty much traded Swinton for Terry Glenn. There's rumors floating around that there will be another trade or two before Sunday. We could be moving a veteran or two. I would expect one to be Coakley if it's true. This is good for both teams because Swinton wasn't going to get any playing time here but he will in Green Bay. That free's up a roster spot to pick up someone in free agency or from the practice squad.
Ugh!!! I hate the Cowboys almost as much as I hate The Titans...and that is saying something. It never dawned on me that there were Cowboys fans here. My high school counselors emphasized tolerance but I am but a man.
America's Team, The Dallas Cowboys ... the only place you can find 20 coke machines inside the stadium and on the field.
..... Oh yeah, that's right, as much as I hate to do this (especially for keeley ), I am going to live up to my promise and not say anything about the subject of this thread....sorry.
I heard that they would probably trade Swinton last week for a late draft pick. Frankly, I think the team screwed up. I REALLY loved Woody Danztler, but he got cut while Swinton made the team. At the time, I kind of agreed with it since Swinton and Smith were possibly better than Woody, but now Swinton is gone and he didn't even really contribute, except for maybe a late pick. (though Zuriel was like the 6th or 7th pick. I forgot.) Kind of gets me mad thinking about all the possibilties at trick plays and amazing run backs he could have had with the Cowboys, not to mention he was learning how to play safety. Now he's doing the trick plays for ATL. (I know I'm making it sound like Woody's like Randy Moss or something. Sorry, just was really excited about him.) I probably wouldn't mind trading Coakley if we can get a good pass rushing lineman. I think Bradie James had played pretty well, and he's big and hurts pretty hard. He won't be able to take his spot, but he may turn into a good player in a few years. Can't we all get along? I have a dream where Cowboy fans and um...other fans can um...get along...without..um..man, I suck at speeches. Uh, Yankee's suck?
My lord. I just share some news with fellow Cowboy fans and get bombed by Texans fans. Please guys, you can stop living in the past. 19-10= luck Are there real fans who would enjoy a pleasant conversation about football? Harrisment, lets see you prove it! JeeberD, love the pic.
Where did you here Coakley might get traded? Is that just from hearing that Parcells likes big linebackers...? I hope Coakley doesn't get traded. I love that guy! How can you not love a speedy 5'10 dude who can knock the crap out of anybody?
I know you're just trying to talk smack back, but surely there's something better you could point out. 19-10 = cowboy suckitude ouch, still hurts.
I guess you guys will always have that game to keep your spirits up. No matter how long ago it was. Well, I can bring up preseason when the Cowboys won. If 19-10 wasn't luck then wouldn't the Texans done the same in preseason?¿? I guess I could point out that the Cowboys have a better Offense AND Defense than the Texans. Cant forget that we have a winning record and the top offense in the NFL!!! ok...now that we have talked the smack lets talk football. Anyone for it now? Right now the Cowboys is the best football team in Texas. That could change within a few years but the Texans will have to really improve because the Cowboys are improving. Give it a few years.
Your pretty pumped up for beating a penningtonless jets team and a fluke win against the Giants. Let the season run its course, things will change, like there is no way the Cowboys will have the top offense come Winter. Best team in Texas? Maybe, kind of hard to say for sure whos better. They were both garbage last year but this year both seem to be much improved. I say there about even
