Who was impressed by Lee shutting down DRose in the second half? He had the footspeed to keep Rose in front and not let him get into the lane, really he was responsible for us being in this game at all.

We all know that Rose hit the clutch 3 pointers etc... but you just like with that.

A backcourt of Lowry and Lee should work great against teams with PGs that get into the lane.

Nash, CP3, Westbrook, John Wall, Deron Williams, etc...

We'll see a lot more of that combo I am sure.

Lee definitely has stellar defense for sure.. He needs more playing time.

I was impressed. I liked that. Lee certainly has more to offer than Budinger...

Adelman putting Lee on Rose was a turning point in the game. Something to consider down the road.

Lee was praised on his defense, when we traded for him. No doubt his defense is great.

If he can work on that offense though, he could be a legit 4th option.

i wasn't surprise at all. i knew he had it in him. he shut down monta  . the negative about CLee is that he can't guard bigger guards. that's why we have battier but he's kinda slow

Definitely. It was the first time this season that he really impressed me with his defense. We should be our designated 4th quarter defender against elite PGs, and let's just hope the defensive matchup for AB or Lowry on the off-guard doesn't kill us.

Budinger is out of the rotation with AB's return.

Lee guarding point guards certainly can't hurt. Maybe he can be used a la Bruce Bowen.

Lee played well tonight but you could see that both Lowry and Scola were tired, as they played most of the 2nd half....if not all of it.

Rockets also did a good job of stopping everyone else from beating them. Thats definitely helped out when you can contain the elite point guards

I still think it was a mistake to let Ariza go.

In response to the thread title, Courtney Lee would not be a secret weapon against all elite PG's, just the larger ones.

I'd hate to have to watch Lee try and man up on Chris Paul.

Perhaps the lesson should be that the way for all teams to play Rose is with an athletic, physical 2.

I remember in one of his first interviews when he was traded here he was asked who was the fastest guy on the team and he said he was...I guess I shouldn't have dismissed that as him just being confident.

Would have been nice to get the win, but definitely like the core and how they have started to play. Can't wait to get Yao and AB back to see where/if they fit.

They mentioned this when they brought Lee in.

With PG's like Westbrook/DWill/CP3/Rose/Wall becoming the trend, there is no way we would stand a chance without Lee if we expect AB to play down the stretch.

And I think it was a mistake to let Terry Teagle go.
