Jerry Krause and Jerry Reinsdorf had their hearts set on breaking up their championship team if for no other reason than they could prove that they were responsible for those championships with their brilliant managerial strategy.

Now, with all the money in the world, free agents are shunning them like a leper in town square. They have good young players, but their goal was to get either Duncan, Hill, McGrady or Jones. Looks like it will be a big ZERO.

It couldn't happen to a better pair of clowns than these two!

I am curious to see how Davo feels about how this years Free agency is panning out so far.

Or how about Chicago ticket holders?

Jordan had done a pretty good job defaming the two Jerrys during the championships. Up around here, most Chicagoans give all the credit to Jordan (with some going to Phil Jackson) and none to the front office. Fans were skeptical of the salary-dumping strategy. Now they all feel that their fears have been validated, that the championships were all Jordan, that the Jerrys are morons, and that the Bulls will suck for a long time to come. At least that's the vibe I get.

I think it is a little unfair. The salary dumping strategy did work for Orlando, so you have to credit the Bulls for having a good idea even if they couldn't execute. I think they'd have had better FA luck if it wasn't for Jordan's snowjob. But it's not like the things he said were completely baseless. Finally, I don't think they'll suck much longer. The Jerrys screwed up here, but I think they are passably competent and will be able to field a competitive team in a few years built mostly on the draft.

I bet Jordan convinced Tim, Hill, Tmac, and Eddie not to go there. Man only if Laker owners were like that; no one would wanna play for the Fakers. Oh well atleast the Jazz will permanently suck in a year or two.
