I always wonder about our incredible record against the East over past seasons, and whether we could actually win the East. Think about how much less trouble Yao would have, how much less problems we'd have at the PF spot. Think about how Mobley plays much better against the East, and think about how JVG is an East-coast coach. Absolutely no doubt, we'd be up there with Detroit for best defensive team if we played the East as much as they do. Do you guys think we're better than the best teams in the East? Personally, I think we're better than Indiana and New Jersey, but would have trouble against the Pistons. Still, with our team, if we could win the East, I'd say our chances of beating the West would be pretty damn good considering we have Yao. Thoughts?
Now this thread should be exhibit number 1 for pointless threads. Who the F cares? The Rockets play in the WEST - end of story...
Yes, the Rockets would dominate the east. I mean, put their record in the east right now and they would be #4 I think. And thats paying against the talented west teams.
The point of this thread is to show that, when compared to the entire league, we're much better than any other "7th seed". Would everyone be b****ing about the same things if this identical team was dominating the East? Would we still want to trade Francis? The West has to spend much more money now to contend for playoff spots, since the competition is getting so much more fierce. Can we even afford to keep up with that?
