Could Webber still be in our roster? All of this could be a smoke screen!

If we could get Webber that would rock.

Webber isn't letting on to anyone whom he will sign with. Sacramento, Detroit, Indiana, don't know exactly.

And Houston is the one who has a lot of money to offer. And come on, who wouldn't want to live in TEXAS? No state income tax. Need I say more.

Your not alone Vince...As the potential suitors have dwindled(signings or for whatever reason) and the less we are talked about as being players for CWebb, the more I believe in CD waving that magic wand and pulling it off.I wouldn't be shocked.

even though i would LOVE to get Webber, it's not goin' to happen. Houston drafted Eddie Griffin and will try to sign their own free-agents, and then they will not have enough $ to snag CWebb. [IMG]

We have no doubt laid out the best contract we can months ago and let Webber know it is his for the taking, but I think he wants his 7/120mil contract (plus maybe bonus/ incentives) that we cannot match through a strait FA signing. That is my gut feeling, but we can all hope. We are one out of 4 or 5 teams with any legitimate chance at him, those ain't bad odds. Count on him elsewhere, but with the draft day moves we still will have a very good offseason if we can just secure our own FA at a fair price.
