Is Landry the man for the job? I believe so. He can help on the glass as much as Scola and more. This isn't a knock on Scola cause he does so many great things but our biggest weakness is our rebounding. Landry get tons on offensive rebounds with the minutes he gets and it's no doubt he can get up higher than Scola to grab those rebounds too. With Scola coming off the bench it would be better for our second unit cause they like to run and so does Scola. I think Carl should start on Weds. game against the Suns in Scola's place to see if we do better on the boards. I'll be a good test too because he'll being going up against Shaq and Admare. What are yall think?

He has the same problem as all the PF of the Rockets: They are too small!

Are you kidding? He is awful on the defensive glass, he does a terrible job of boxing out.

He is great on the offensive glass, but on defense, not so much.

Lol. That doesn't change a thing. We are still not getting much rebounds. Starting Landry or playing him off the bench doesn't make a difference. They are all short for their position. He can get up high, but still can't get much if other teams have a big tall rebounder.

Landry is not a very good defensive rebounder, though he's an excellent offensive rebounder. Those are two different skills. Landry could be a good addition to the starting lineup, but he'd help more on the offensive end than defensive side.

Amare will send him to the bench with 2 quick fouls if he starts.

One thing I know is that Scola will have problems guarding Amare...

    Hayes is the answer.
Yao-Hayes still our best duo not only on rebounding but offence too. Yes, Offense!

#1,3,4,5,10, Carl Landry's 63mins pairing with Yao, nothing positive. No O no D.

You think Mike Harris could make a difference ? Can we sign him for a non-guaranteed contract until Battier comes back or a 10 day contract ?

i don't really buy the too small excuse.. how big was charles barkley compared to the people he played against? that guy was a rebounding machine.. when the other team shoot the ball everyone is standing around waiting for the ball to drop into their lap.. in the lakers game ariza and farmar were getting offensive rebounds because no one was boxing out

With Yao in the line up is should be scola or hayes next to him landry just doesn't work. He works better with scola or hayes. Yao takes up so much space and landry doesn't seem to know how to space the floor too well in my opinion.
