Just thinking of the ramifications of Lesner's condition. What if it proves to be steroid related? Is there anyone that doesn't believe that Lesner hasn't juiced for years? If it is serious and ends his career, and proves to be steroid related, hopefully this will wake up the UFC to a new level of accountability and policing of their sport.

He's only had four fights in the UFC? How is it UFC's fault? It's only their fault for signing him only.

If its steriod related its more than likely from his pro-wrestling days.

When you sign someone you need to know what your bringing in. So I would give them the majority of the fault.

true they are accountable just like a regular job is for hiring a drug user. most companies test for that so why shouldnt the ufc test for cheating.

i dont see how it brings down the entire organization if it is steroids related? has the NFL fallen apart? heck the MLB is still doing fine after all its steroids junk. heck admitted users are being praised for their playing. ya, UFC will prob begin stingier testing, but bring the UFC down? ehh dont think so

Our culture treats hard work as an obstacle and care mostly about the results.

I don't think steroids will kill a sports popularity unless someone world famous tragically dies over it.

People concentrate on his WWE days too much. The man was 285 lbs of muscle when he was the NCAA heavyweight champion. I'm not an expert on drug testing, but I would imagine the NCAA has one of the strictest drug testing outside of the Olympics. Also UFC fighters have to get a fight license just like boxers. Thus they are drug tested to the same standards as boxers. People can't fathom that a man his size has not taken steroids, but if you look at videos of him in his younger years in the NCAA he was huge then. The man is just a genetic freak. Yes it is possible that he has used steroids, because it's possible for any athlete. But just because he is huge does not make him guilty of being a steroid user.

    ...........................it's not related to roids.................

mono and bacterial infections in the intestines are not cause by roids.

testing in the ufc/mma in america is pretty solid. in places like japan the testing might as well be non-existent.

that isn't exactly applicable here in lesnar's case. roids for him were a way for him to get insanely huge instead of just huge.

    ^^^this

Steroid use is definitely underreported and the average person probably has no clue about just how common steroid usage is but let's look at the facts with Brock. The guy has been huge since he was a teen. He's an athletic freak.

It's illegal to possess HGH without a prescription. He didn't possess HGH and charges were dropped.

So the question is what did he really receive? Could have been a supplement, could have been fake performance enhancers (that he thought were real) or it could have been a set-up that didn't quite work out.

Even if the guy has used roids/HGH the side-effects are so freaking exaggerated by people it is laughable. We now have loads and loads of 50+ year old men on steroids/HGH but the public doesn't have a problem because the doctors call it HRT.

I think any sports pro who uses steroids does works hard and they take it for that edge.

But fans are pretty quick to rationalize it like that and look mainly at the results.

After all, if everyone is cheating how could the user not?...
